Hotel is super convenient but as others have mentioned, in need of an update. Room was spacious but smelled like it used to be a smoking room. Couldn't get a signal on the TV, mattress was definitely broken in. Lobby was nice, staff was helpful and welcoming, Guadalupe in the Cafe was very nice. Overall the convenience of walking to your terminal straight from the hotel was worth it, especially since we take early flights. The expense is worth not having to get up at 4 am! If this hotel got a refresh it would definitely get 5 stars
We stayed at this hotel twice during transits to our summer travel destination. The location of the hotel at O'Hare is ideal and makes travel just that little bit easier. We were upgraded to a Premium King Room on both occasions. The rooms weere clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. It's also a short elevator ride and walk to the hotel restaurant. The restaurant and bar menu offer items that are rather substantial servings and are relatively large. The lobby area is also very attractive and stylish. We enjoyed our stay here and will return when given the opportunity. Noteworthy details: The hotel's location at the airport is ideal!
Convenient but this hotel is in need of a MAJOR refresh. Dated rooms from the 90s. Two way heating and cooling so you either get heat in the winter or AC in the summer. Very little flexibility setting temp how you like. Carpets are gross and old. Bathrooms are cramped and worn. Great location and friendly staff but invest in the rooms.
Disclaimer: anything I post or share are my own, and do not represent any major company or entities that I am affiliated with. With that being said. This hotel as a whole I would rate a zero out of five if I could. The customer service was terrible. The people at the bar and restaurant, as well as the small convenient store that they have next to the front desk was rude and impatient as if they didn’t want to be there. When I first checked into my room, it smelled really bad. The only thing that they were able to accommodate was to have a housekeeper come in, and Lysol spray the room which only masked the terrible odor that later came back. I second the opinion of one of the other guest that also wrote a review about how not empathetic the staffing was. My only positive review about this hotel is that it is across the street from the airport even then it still isn’t accessible to anything outside of that. Rooms: Outdated, and stinky. Not thoroughly cleaned. Hair in bathroom, stains on sheets.
Man, this place sucks. But it’s too conveniently located to change spots. I once hosted an event in the lower level. Internet access was $50/person there were 30 attendees. I asked why it was so expensive. The Hilton employee helping me said, proudly, “Well, sir, we’re a union operation here.” I’ve never been prouder to live elsewhere, in a Right to Work state. I rented a Verizon hotspot for $35 and had great internet access for the entire group. We realized, at the outset of our meeting, that we needed some sandwiches, so we ordered Jimmy John’s and brought it to the conference room I guess that was against the protocol but we didn’t know. Total price for the sandwiches and chips was under $200. We then ordered -from the Hilton- a set of cold cuts for the last meal of our meeting like…build a sandwich on your way out to catch your flight. It was over $2500. This place is ridiculous. Rooms are also small, far from elevators, and with deep carpet on every floor that makes rolling a bag difficult. Service is nonexistent. No digital key service, so we all get to wait in long lines to check in.
Dated room and even worse bathroom. Arrived after an international flight to be told my booking was for the next day not the day that I arrived. I had a screenshot of the booking but not good enough for them. Then apparently I wasnt in the system at all even though they made the previous statement. I had my booking and confirmation number but still not good enough for them. Had to call my booking agency who finally got through to them. Apparently they didn't include the apostrophe on my surname when I checked in even though I gave them my passport which included it. You would think that my confirmation number would be enough. Seems to be a lack of common sense. Also the bar is expensive, nearly 40 dollars for 3 bottles of Heineken.
We book this room because we have a layover for more than 12 hours. Everything is very good and clean. In room dining are delicious . We got upgraded to family suite due to my member status and it was very nice . Breakfast is delicious and fresh. Waiter and host are friendly. Apps check in is very easy. Digital keys are very easy to use Rooms: Clean Walkability: It just located at terminal 2 . Just need to use the skymiles and 2 min walk Food & drinks: The bar food is very good for in room dining and breakfast is fresh. No buffet but there's two options to choose from the menu if you have breakfast included
I got marooned at O'Hare recently due to weather issues, and because it was a weather problem United wouldn't cover the hotel. I booked the Hilton because it is in the airport although outside of security and I had an early flight the next morning so I wanted to be able to get up and just go. I arrived at the hotel around 9:00pm, signage to the hotel and in O'Hare in general is not very good so it took me a minute to figure out which exit to take. When I arrived at the hotel there were long lines for Hilton Honors member with status, and for the regular check-in and one staff each for both lines. There was another check-in staff at the far end of the corner, but as this hotel is frequented by a lot of cabin crew, that check-in staff seemed dedicated to airline personnel and wasn't helping anyone else even though there weren't that many cabin crew checking in. The check-in staff was polite enough, but he was wearing a white t-shirt and looked very unprofessional - my first thought was "does this person actually work here?" The lobby and the hotel in general need to be totally renovated and everything looks like it was frozen in time from the late 1980s or early 1990. While my booking was last minute, there is nothing about the hotel was worth almost $300 a night you're definitely paying for the convenience of the location. The room seemed clean enough, and although was of course a non-smoking room, it smelled faintly of cigarette smoke. The bathroom door hit the toilet when you opened it, so you had to sort of slide in, stand to the side, and close the bathroom door behind you. The furniture, and hilariously the thermostat I am convinced were from the 1980s see photos. Nothing about this hotel makes me ever want to stay there again - I really hope Hilton begins renovating this place if they haven't already. It's depressing and sort of gross. Rooms: Rooms at least the room I had really need to be renovated. Hotel has seen better days.
We arrived at 1:30am. We were told we were ‘upgraded’ which meant that we got suite. Except it only had one bed instead of two. Since there are 4 of us we pulled out the couch for our little kids and found there were no sheets, no pillows, no towels, nada. So, back down to the desk where they couldn’t find house keeping. We are all exhausted. We didn’t get the room we needed. And apparently there are no linens to be had anywhere. I went back to the desk after 30 minutes had gone by to find out housekeeping had just gone up to our room. So I headed up and passed him in the hall. I asked if he gave us all the items we needed, listing them off, and he said yes. I walked into our room to find out there were no towels. I had to run down the hall to catch house keeping otherwise it would be another 30 minutes before we could shower. I was annoyed and asked why he told me there were towels when there were not and he said it was because we needed to many things. He couldn’t carry them all. Nice. I followed him back to the towels to be sure I got them and finally was able to get the kids to bed and shower about 1 hour after our arrival. This place is not great. It’s out of date but clean. It’s convenient so, they will always be busy. In the future I will find somewhere else to stay because I could have made it lots of places that would be much nicer and have what I needed in less than 1 hour.
Our flight was delayed overnight and it was our only choice since it was close to 11h30pm. The person at the front desk has 0 empathy and not information provided about the amenities, we are a family of 3 1 toddler so I was expecting a decent and informative service. The washroom in my room had a problem with the bathtub drain, and the vent didn't work so the mirror was foggy. Also they don't provide even one bottle of water, you need to buy from the coffee shop where the staff is also unfriendly.
