It's a good gym with decent amenities. I like to go here because it's close to my home. Here is what's keeping it from getting 5 stars Hours of operation: The gym opens at a decent time but closes early compared to its competitors. Even planet fitness, which advertises itself as a more casual and inclusive place stays open longer for some reason Shirtless policy: My shirt gets drenched with sweat by the end of most of my workouts. Then I hit the sauna shirtless like most guys. I should be able to just walk out the facility from this point but I got stopped by the front desk on my way out and was forced to put my COLD WET shirt back on for the last few steps to go outside. I get it.. policy is policy, but it's not like I was working out shirtless..like how I've seen at other branches and they don't get stopped at all. Not only that, but at this specific branch, I've seen others leave shirtless without Them getting stopped, so now I'm wondering what makes ME so special as to get stopped like that They have a half court basketball and a punching bag for diversity. The price is good and fair for what you're getting though. Just seems like a more strict planet fitness. I'll bump it up to 4 stars if I can ever walk out shirtless and 5 stars if the hours ever get better
Great gym and very reasonable. Where can you go for just $10 a month and get healthy? I lost 42 lbs. in 7 months and greatly improved my health and wellness by going to fitness connection. I've been a member for 4 years. It's well worth the investment.
I'm still in the middle of my fitness journey, but after spending enough time here, I can safely recommend this gym to just about anybody. The gym has plenty of equipment to match 99% of people's needs. The gym is clean, well-kept and has available showers with constant hot water for anyone who needs it. I also highly recommend the personal training services they offer there. Their trainer Juan is extremely passionate about his work and has been monumental in helping me to achieve my fitness goals. Anybody who is looking for a reasonably priced commercial gym will be glad to know that there is a place for them here.
I'd give it 0 stars if I could! Other potentially better options: Planet Fitness, your home gym, Fort Worth's outdoor park gyms, Anytime Fitness, or better yet: a local gym that has staff members who help you out and who care about their gym. The customer service is awful. I was on hold for almost TWO HOURS to get on the phone with someone who could cancel my membership. Terrible customer service is my main reason for giving a 1-star review. Other Cons: -Gym is ALWAYS over-crowded. -80% of the members there don't care to rerack their equipment. I felt awful for the staff since they're considerably outnumbered. -Staff is either too sparse to keep up with re-racking or lazy. Most of them are just on their phones at the front desk, avoiding the customers. This doesn't include all of them, just majority of what I experienced when I went. -Obviously the owner does not care about this business, only about the profit it can turn. Take your money elsewhere. TL;DR: Go to this gym if you like an overcrowded gym who's owners don't care about their members.
I decided eight months ago to inquire about a trainer for my fitness needs. My first point of contact was Angie, she did a thorough consultation with me to determine my fitness needs in relation to choosing the right trainer. She is an awesome professional young lady! Everyone at the front desk is pleasant always greeted with a smile! Based on my fitness, goals and personality, Juan the greatest fitness trainer was recommended. He is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and highly educated in his field of expertise. His kind, patient and fun spirited manner is infectious and motivating. His work ethic and expertise shows results. I am very pleased with my results, Thanks to Juan! He’s like family!
Really need to educate the employees on informing new members of hours and where everything is located in the gym. Crazy how the kids club closes at noon and one on a Friday and Saturday. Machines in the women’s work out area are creaking and making noise as if it’s going to brake. Hours for all these facilities should be extended, 7pm on a Saturday is ridiculous. Regret getting a membership. What a waste.
I would give less but it doesn't allow for that. I had a work related injury at the end of November. I went in and asked to cancel my membership. I was told they would put both my training services and membership on hold indefinitely. This way what I am paying would be locked in. I explained I will not be able to come in for up to 6 months to a year. Again I was told it was no problem and this just allowed me to pick up to where I left off. I noticed a charge from Paramount on my bill for 199.00 I thought it was odd, however, I had made recent changes to my TV service and thought maybe I had asked to be billed annually and didn't think about it again until I got charged again this month. I called the customer service number for them to tell me it was billing for the Fitness Connection trainer that was not supposed to be charging me. I told them that it should be refunded back to me because I was told I would not be charged. Mind you no one told me it wasn't going to charge me after 60 days. So, they said it needed to be cleared by a manager and one was not available. Plus they will be charging me an addition 19 dollars to cancel my membership completely and that I can go in and workout until May 31st. It isn't even May yet and I have a major shoulder injury. Please be careful using this gym. They are sneaky and do not tell you all the information, so you will just keep coming back and they can say I am sorry I can't fix the money you should have never been charged. You have been warned!!! And yes I told them immediately when I was injured.
If your schedule does not allow you get to the gym before 4:30…..you may want to consider a different gym. This gym is sooooo overcrowded it’s ridiculous. You will literally have to wait in line to utilize the machines you desire. I’ve left numerous comments/feedback on the surveys they send out. Yet nothing has been done. And don’t get me started on available cleaning solution for the equipment…..it’s pretty much a joke. The price is cheap…..but you definitely get what you pay for. Join somewhere else.
I love all the staff and they make it feel like home. The gym is super convenient and the equipment is perfect. The new layout is kinda weird but overall love the gym. :
Was a nice place to work out, but now they have a female at the desk insisting she needed to take my pic. Why now??Well I choose not to have my picture taken at the gym. Anyways great timing to leave the gym for EOS fitness is opening soon on altamesa, and hopefully they will actually be opened 24 hours like the Arlington location. From web pics it looks pretty impressive. Hope their customer service will be better than fitness connection hulen. In the meantime westfork fitness gym is the choice plus it is opened 24 hours.
