This page is dedicated to providing the flight attendant community information from research study findings relevant to the flying profession.
We are a group of researchers from the University of Colorado, Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. We are interested in providing research study findings relevant to the flight attendant work environment, both past and present. We are using this page to provide health related information from research publications that could be of interest to flight attendants.
We are also currently conducting a research study in Aurora, Colorado on the long-term impact of intense secondhand smoke exposure on flight attendants who were exposed to cigarette smoke while working, compared to flight attendants that were not exposed to smoke in the same manner. We will occasionally post information on our research study to this page, but if you would like more information you can contact us by phone or email.
Our research is funded by the Flight Attendant Medical Research Institute (FAMRI) based in Miami, Florida. You can find more information on FAMRI at: http://www.famri.org/intro/
