Robert saved our life! Super helpful and friendly. Camp is clean and fairly quiet. River is slightly stinky. We came in around 8pm without calling ahead and managed to get a spot. It was 25$ for us to tent camp. Thanks Robert!!! Restrooms: Only 2 bathrooms, they are Porta Potties. Well kept though as of 7/15/2023!
We camped on a wonderful spot next to the river spot #1. Late arrived just at sundown was no problem. The owner Robert is super friendly and helpful and came by the next morning to pay credit card. It is nice and quiet small campsite with a couple of hookups for power for RV, and a number of shaded picnic tables and facilities for BBQ etc. One of the picnic pavilions has full power outlets for parties. Being early in the season we had the campground almost to ourselves :-
Pretty primitive but a pretty spot. They only have potapotties, no bathrooms, water or power except in a few spots. Park is well maintained but very rustic. On the San Juan River which it's only real attribute.
Absolutely loved this place! We had the whole campground to ourselves. The roads a little rocky but once you cet to the park it flattens out. The river was flowing and such a cool backdrop to a rustic and quaint spot. No water hookups but there was electric with water by the pavilion. Would absolutely stay here again. Playground: Small outdoor toys but my 4 year old had a blast. Restrooms: Port-a-potties. Picnic area: Several pavilions, one with tables and a large fridge.
Robert was awesome and helped us get situated. The site is secluded and clean. Although we only had a chance to see it in the evening, the sunrise was quite peaceful. Restrooms: There's a male and female porta-potty and was well maintained.
Robert is amazing and so nice! We were turned away from another campsite because of our arrival time due to inclement weather and driving conditions. Called here to see if they had any RV sites left for the night, and that we wouldn’t be there til much later in the night. Not only did Robert say it’s not a problem but stayed up late waiting for us and was welcoming and warm, even telling us to drive safe while speaking with him. If I could give him more stars I would. You just don’t meet people like this everyday. Woke up next to a nice river and some small playground equipment for the kids. A few updates to the play equipment would be nice but for a quick one night stopover we were more than happy with everything .
The owner Robert was very helpful. Nice and quiet right next to the river. Plan to stay again when traveling in northern NM
Great little no frills park, peaceful, quiet, and right on the river. The owner, Robert, is really nice and comes around to check on things and see if you need anything.
Stayed here for one night. Booked in advance and paid the extra fee to reserve a specific site number, but when we got there, we were directed to a “site” that they had just cleared. It was behind another site which made parking awkward. No picnic table, lots of ants. Owner said the map on their website is out of date. Website also says they have bathrooms but it’s actually port-a-potties. River is pretty, but we won’t be staying here again.
This past weekend my friends and I stayed at the campground for my birthday. Robert and his wife are absolutely amazing! The are so hospitable and generous! Its right by the river and is beautiful during sunset. Navajo lake is about 30 minutes away. I will definitely be returning! We had a blast.
