Did a 10 here Wow at the amazing views of the mountains! They have a Dennys and they are walking distance to McDonald’s. They have pizza and a hot box by the register. They have beer Staff are very friendly and welcoming. There are many places to walk the dog, but it is trashy in some areas. They have 2 sets of bathrooms, showers, and a small lounge. The staff are aware of the drug problem here, and they are trying to fix it. I would come here again!
Swing shift manager is very helpful. However there are desperate type individuals around this place liking to scam or steal from you or your truck. I am currently parked in the front, bobtail. Right across the street from the McDonald's. I just had someone bump my truck a couple times so I looked out of my privacy curtain and saw a person standing at the right rear of my truck. They looked right at me as soon as I opened the curtain and walked away from my truck. By the time I got dressed and got out of my truck they were gone. However, there is a man and what I assume is his wife sitting in their vehicle because they're homeless I guess, watching. Literally right next to my truck. When the guy saw me looking around he chuckled. They were watching this person try to scam my truck. This obviously happens here every night. Buyer beware because this place allows people to steal from drivers right out in their front lot on the street. If that weren't true people would not be so bold and the other people around would not be spectating like it is a sport. Update. I have left. Wish I could have gotten some sleep there, but it was a guarantee of being ripped off. Not the first time I've seen people casing the parking lot there. Or the second. I only stay there when I have no other option. Luckily tonight I'm bobtail so I have other choices.
We're here to stay the night in the truck. The lot is paved and huge for rows and rows of big trucks. As we were entering the store a guy standing by the entrance asked if we were truck drivers and then asked if we had any free showers on our rewards card and if he could have one. Entering the store, I noticed that it is a much smaller Flying J than what I'm used to. It did have the usual snacks, soup, hotbox, deli, drinks..it also had vehicle merch., shirts, crystal ornaments, caps and other such items. So you could shop a little. There was a messy discount bin in one of the main aisles and the drivers lounge is filled with boxes of merchandise. We ate at the Denny's inside this establishment and got a drink to go at the Flying J. The cashier waved us over to her register then completely ignored us when we was talking to her. My husband asked for a receipt and she was already waving over another customer. Ring em' up and move em' out kind of thing here. I didn't appreciate that at all.
The Dennys was good. Woke up on 02/05/23 @ 0545am went in made a cup of coffee, informed the lady working the front desk they were out of half and half. Instead of checking she radios her coworker asking if he could check on half and half AFTER he cleans the restrooms as if people are suppose to wait around on them. Worst customer service I have ever seen from any place.
The place is clean and the people are nice, but couldn't figure out why my CC wouldn't work at the pump. It's bc the run a pre-auth of $150 on a fill up amount of $53. Why? I know normally this wouldn't matter however moving across country and almost done with this part and budgeting accordingly.
Store is ok. Showers. Dirty and not hot. Water temp changing from warm to cold several times. Counter was dirty. Store is ok with typical Deny’s.
All of the windshield cleaners here outside need to be replaced. They are old, dingy and broken. also pump number 8 broke about 2 gallons into our transaction and froze even though it was only 40° outside. avoid pump 8 all together at this location
This Truck Stop isn't for Professional Driver to relax in. The Professional Drivers Lounge is basically their stock room for over flow stock. Wasn't relax at all. The lounge was very cluttered. No wear to fold your laundry. Was told by one or more staff. If I wanted table to fold my clothes on go to Hotel across the parking lot. Store Manager said not my problem call Corp and complain. I will NEVER going back to Pilot or FlyingJ. They have loss all my future Bussiness to Petra and TA. As much money as driver spend and be treated so rudely is Unnecessary and Unacceptable.
Cramped. Truck parking needs to be repainted... so that drivers aren't doing blind sided parking to back in. Laundry room has two washers and four dryers. I usually avoid this one if I'm arriving after 2pm. Nothing bad I can really say about the people working here though. It's just a typical Flying J location, and most in general are a solid three stars.
Everything great except the "premium wifi "for $3.99 for 4hours 1.7mb download speed. That's terrible might as well have diel up
