Global health research training program
The Fogarty Global Health Fellows Training Program is a consortium of the global health programs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Johns Hopkins University, Morehouse School of Medicine, and Tulane University. Each fall we solicit applications from doctoral and health science professional students as well as post-doctoral fellows to conduct global health research at one of our 17 international sites in Sub-Saharan Africa (Accra, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Kampala, Rakai,Lilongwe, Lusaka, Swaziland) , South America (Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Lima), India (Pune), Bangladesh, Thailand (Chiang Mai), or China (Bejing, Nanjing, Shanghai). The program provides stipend support, travel, and a small research budget. Advanced fellows participate in a year long K grant writing seminar.
To build research capacity in global health at our four institutions and our international partners.
