Food 4 Less

Huge Costco-like grocery store! I was shocked, after finding parking between oversized carts and abandoned furniture, the store was a Mecca. Giant aisles held a huge selection of food. I felt like I was in Texas. I was hungry and came in here looking for something quick to eat, and found what I wanted. There’s a bakery section, prepared food bar, hot food ready to go, salads, sushi, sandwiches. I grabbed some boiled eggs and a King Louie crab salad, made with imitation crab meat. It was honestly and unpredictably the best salad that I had in a long time. The layout of the store is perfect for pandemic grocery shopping. Large spaces allow for great distance between customers. Plenty of free parking out front.

It takes too long to check out! There are never enough cashiers/employees to handle customers. There are never any shopping carts inside the store. They are all outside in the lots. Checkout lines are too slow and too long. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT.

Extremely rude customer service from the deli. The deli always seems to be closed. Rude girl there previously just pointed out that there are different selections of pre cut and pre packaged cuts of deli meat. So last night, around 7pm, I go to the deli and of course its already closed. Even though sign says other wise, that the deli counter should be open until 10pm. I go to the are where the pre cut meats are. Only to find that all of the packages have a sell before 10/06/2022 or 10/07/2022. The date was 10/08/2022. I saw someone in the deli, I politely let them know the pre-cut meats where expired, and asked if I could have some freshly cut meats. The girl there told me that who ever was in charge of removing the old meats didn't do that. Once again I asked if I could have fresh deli meat sliced. She just answered that the machines we're already cleaned and sanitized. So I turned around and left. As I'm leaving I can hear her laughing along with her coworker. Very rude. What I got from all of this is to be careful and look at the dates of the deli meats. The fact that all the deli meat was expired from days meant that fresh deli was not cut the day of. Some of the deli meat was already spoiled and slimy. There was no manager to talk to at that hour... the next person in charged was informed. I hope the problem can be addressed, it is a health violation to be selling spoiled meats.

The store is very well stocked. It had some lower prices on certain cuts of beef which is getting harder to find these days. It is a large and had many different brands to choose. You do have to bag your own groceries. I am used to that.

This place blows. Long lines. No shopping carts. Flys in their baked good cases. Ghetto

I usually love shopping here, but lately, I haven't. Absolutely nobody social distances here. The lines at the registers are so long, they go all the way to the back of the store. They meander up & down the aisles, and there is nobody controlling the large clusters of people at the registers. Nobody is at the front door monitoring that either. So, should someone not be considerate of how close they get to others, don't expect those people to be considerate in return, in telling people to back off. THIS IS NOT SOCIAL DISTANCING! Would you like a side of Covid to go with the groceries you bought for you & your family? The store managers should be controlling how many people are in the store at a time. They are definitely not adhering to the covid guidelines, and are running things like they were before the pandemic. They are putting customers at risk, their employees, and all their families. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

This place is a joke of grocery store! Everytime I go here, there only 3 lanes open. One person working deli and one working meat dept.

Food4Less is a great store. Low prices on majority of their products, especially on fruits and vegetables. You will probably never find another grocery store cheaper on fruits and vegetables than here. The over the counter meats and seafood are great too. This grocery store will not disappoint.

Terrible employees. If they are not happy and don't want to work, they should find another job and let other people who actually want to work.

It might be just me, but I’m honestly not sure when the Food 4 Less stopped being the Food 4 Less. The prices here are outrageous. You’re better off driving the distance and going to WinCo in Ventura or El Super in South Oxnard.
