Food Bank of Delaware

Visited a few days ago & was very pleased with what I received, especially the bags of date pieces in rice flour, & the 3lb bag of lollipops! The soaps & conditioner are nice, too. I received a lot of great extra items. The sign says that you can come back every 2 weeks. I highly recommend, & I'll definitely go back.

I went there on 8-17 They Were giving away fruit! I also got meat and rice and some canned goods, Forever Grateful for these wonderful people and being able to get food assistance,I am a senior citizen,This really helps me with my tight budget!!

Very much so appreciate but I’ve seen A lot of donations being brought in, and although anything helps the supply given out has been very little to none. I know that Delaware park even has donation bins so an enormous amount is donated.. still again anything does help

They have been giving out the same items 4 weeks in a roll 2 cans of Green Bean 2 cans of Ground Pork 1 bag of White Rice 1 bag of California Walnuts 1 Pork Lon roll 1 bag of Frozen Blueberries. Please switch up on the items The food bank is a Great ideal and I dont have to drive to Wilmington..

If you need a small but free meeting space with breakfast and lunch options, call them! Lovely space, really good food, and what a great service they are to our community!

This place I love. The food fresh veggie selections are outstanding. All of the pictures below were made with veggies o 100% from the food bank.

I had arrived at the food bank at 222 Sunset Lane, when I had given my license, they promptly brought out some food items that are needed and very much appreciated. John brought out the basket, I proceeded to place the items in the trunk, as I got back in the car it wouldn't start. I had left my lights on without the car running, my first instinct was to get on the phone and call around, couldn't contact anyone. I asked the volunteers if I could have a Jumpstart and John again was willing to do that for me. I'd like to say thanks to John again and to the Newark,Delaware patrons who donate, and everyone involved in this well needed establishment. I am very grateful and thanks again John and everyone else.

Being a community social worker, i often go to get food for clients. Awesome agency serving the community.

I get it's free food but why we see delivery trucks of good food going inside the pantry, vegetables, bagels, meat, bread etc but when the carts come we get 1 gallon sauces, dates, raisens, butter and a milk?? Where does all the food that is delivered go to? Then We can't come until 2 weeks later. Who is going to survive with raisens, dates and gallon sauces a week?? Who makes up this meal plan?
