Shelves are stocked. Employees are courteous and knowledgeable. Good selection of items for everyone's taste. I enjoyed the diverse customer base.
There’s plastic in the sushi and no it does NOT seem as though it’s a mistake. So far 3 pieces of plastic of the same size were found as if it was mixed in the sushi- while eating mistakenly swallowed one piece of plastic. On top of that small pieces of hair were mixed in the rice of the sushi. This is very odd specifically being that cooks should wear hair nets.
Weirdly enuff, this Shoprite tends to be more expensive than other local Shoprites. Same day..I left here and went to Kearny...the Chips Ahoy cookies were 2 for $6. Newark was $4.99. I noticed other items as well. Smh I wont discuss the staff!!! Lord!! Now I will give them this....they have alottttt of variety with their products. Ultimately, Shoprite Newark is NOT it.
I couldn't help but notice too many of the shelves are empty. If you want to see something scary check-out the photos I posted. Overall this place gets the job done but please chose when you go wisely because check-out lines are so long and so wrong. The store just doesn't have enough to accommodate the amount of people shopping during busy times. You want to definitely avoid going anytime during the beginning of each month. I use the self-check-out although I never wanted to work for Shoprite. I believe a substantial discount should be offered to customers who check-out themselves because it saves the store time, money and healthcare benefits. The shelves are mostly stocked but could go bare at any moment. Definitely bring your own sanitizers to wipe down the carts. I recommend gives this place a try but stay alert and prepare yourself for some excitement because something bound to happen.
Don't know who's butchering steaks lately, but all the cuts of beef look like overhandled road kill. It's rare to find a decent cut of steak... only cheap cuts. Also, the grass fed beef section is non-existent. Also, your Melinda's hot sauces have been expired for months even though I've brought it to the attention of staff 2x. This location has declined in quality.
The Shoprite associate who greets customers at the entrance of the store is cordial and makes shoppers feel welcomed. I like that and I can tell other shoppers like it too. She makes people feel comfortable. Thank Ms. Shoprite lady!
An excellent place to pop in to get lunch. Make sure that you sign up for the ShopRite card to get additional savings and Super Coupons. If you don't want to buy shopping bags and drive, get an empty box and put it in the shopping cart, then place it in your backseat or trunk.
This is a good store, where you can get your fresh vegetables, meats, and other kitchen items.
Terrible customer service experience today at deli man argued I ordered something I did not then outline refused to give me 1/2 lb cold cuts that I asked for instead lb he sliced. Yelling for me to get a manager while eating and serving customers. I got a manager who seems like he didn't care either just told other worker to serve me. I am reporting this store higher management employees are rude not helpful at all I dread this store
This is my store it's located right next to where I live I can go shopping at ease and also have food delivered if I choose to most of the time it's not crowded but it's a good store to shop for your food and other products I love my ShopRite store thank you and have a great day
