Poor care of the grass and no bagging of clippings has covered all the foot stones. Most were so covered that they couldn’t be seen at all. We visited Roselawn Cemetery on the same day and it was perfectly maintained with short, green grass instead of hay. Why such a difference? How disappointing and disrespectful.
The last two years the cemetery has been poorly maintained. Relatives are buried there and we are just sick with the lack of care shown, even at Memorial Day.
I'm shocked! Today I buried my father. Thankfully I was surrounded by my grieving family, and a overly aggressive supervisor and two grave digging employees. As customers we did our part we called them months ahead of time to schedule. We paid up front and we arrived on time. After I barely had time to get over my car the manager made it extremely clear that today was kinda a busy day for them. First of all that's a big red flag right there. My dad died and I'm burying him and you're telling me about your bad day. Apparently they had one other scheduled funeral that was to take place later that day. Sounds like a problem for the funeral home. I did not pay thousands to hear about this guy's day I'm trying to plan a funeral leave me alone. I scheduled this appointment months ahead of time if there was an issue on their part they have my number they could have reached out to us asked for a reschedule or simply communicate the problem. Instead the best idea they could come up with was to wait until the day of my father's funeral to demand us to hurry. Sounds like Forest lawn memorial Park needs new management. During the actual funeral family and friends surrounding each other trying to share stories in between all the crying. Unfortunately the supervisor felt it to be appropriate to stand about 10-15 ft away from us. The three of them just staring directly at us the whole time. As if we inconvenienced them. It was extremely uncomfortable and made it really hard to focus on the funeral. All I can say is sorry Dad I tried my best to make this day special. Forest Lawn Memorial Park management made us feel like they had more important funerals to get too.
I put my my brother in the ground today the guy dressed in blue was very rude and argumentive. His upper management should send him to customer service classes. For the amount of money we paid I would expect a more professional attitude from the workers. Especially when they know people are burying thier loved ones. The last thing you should do is be argumentive with them. What goes through your mind when your paid and yet you tell the family if the coffin don't fit they can lift it back up again. 2yr update to my review. We've yet to see my brothers tomb stone put up. All expense has been paid. Everytime we call they give us the same story that its on back order. Yet all the new burial sites around have theirs up.
First of all they do good service when you initially use their services. But getting the small things done is very tough for them afterward. Three things that did not go well. Returning phone calls are really not their strong skills. First was that they promise to call me when the marker arrived before setting it in the ground, but nothing. Second is the flower cup order. They said they will call when the cup comes in a month, but I ordered it over a year ago and yet nothing is on the site. Plus no calls to inform me of issues or delays. Lastly, the marker location on the plot was not located where we'd like. When talking over the phone, it was fine to move the marker, but when we get there they told me a different thing. That's my experience.
This is an absolutely terrible cemetery. The owners of this location do not maintain the graves at all. Grass is growing over the tombstones and the building is always locked so it’s virtually impossible to access the cremated people.
Very kind and beautiful people The cremation ceremony for my aunt was very wonderful for me to be able to do my wishes for her They were extremely accommodating to my request Thank you for such a great service very much appreciate the service you provide for the living as well as the ones that Have crossed over Thank you ‼
Many of the public cemeteries in the midwest were modeled on the idea of cemeteries as parks. I never really appreciated that idea until I saw this cemetery because Forest Lawn actually does it right. One of the most evident ways that this can be seen is that many of the tombstones are in the form of actual benches
Minnesota Medium is a psychic who works at Forest Lawn Cemetary. She can connect you with your loved one who is buried at Forest Lawn or at any cemetary. Its only natural that she charges a fee and accepts only cash.
This Memorial Day the grounds were terrible. Why isn’t it being kept up ? No excuse not even no mow May.
