The employees that work here are very nice, always get a wave when I am passing through! The grounds are very green & kept.I attended a loved ones service last week, I did stop in the Mausoleum and I noticed temperature was comfortable. Walking & reading the different headstones I noticed there are alot of veterans laid to rest here! I love the American flag!! But maybe one day I will see individual military branch flags, on there own poles, around the main flag pole? Keep up the great work!!!
My family has been here since 1974 . We always stop in to put flowers with our dearly departed. Several years ago, after a bad storm, we though my grandmothers plaque had been destroyed, the main office was more than helpful in fixing and finding the missing plaque. Hours listed on the website are not always the same as in person. we stop in at odd times when traveling Still a very lovely place my great aunt and uncle decided on. My grandparents also loved it too. I hope that the work on the main office is completed soon, and that an arborists is able to come save the dying trees.
I stopped by yesterday to visit my family, and i was so very happy to see how nice it is looking, the grass was cut, no sticks and leaves, it looked so nice, i will be there one day to join my family so it was very comforting to see, i just wanted to say Ty to the ground keepers for their hard work, the changes aren't going unrecognized! Office workers always been great!! Christine is no longer there but i wanted to include how wonderful she has always has been!
Several members of our family are interred at Forest Lawn, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. I only give one star because you don't have a zero option. I will not carry on this tradition. Our mom passed in 1999 and dad passed in 2008. When dad passed we bought a vase and requested that it be placed between their markers. It was actually placed in the center of one of the plots. We stopped and told staff that it was in the wrong place, that we wanted it between the two markers. Next time we went out, it was half way down, between the two plots, not between the markers, we decided to accept that, at least we could leave flowers. Over a year ago when I went to visit, the vase was gone. Whether it was stolen or damaged by ground crew, we will never know. I reported the missing vase to a staff member who said she would report it to management. The next visit, no vase, stopped at the office and there was no record anywhere of the incident report. I was told that it would be looked into. Next visit, no vase, was told that if there was one in storage, it would be installed but if they had to order one it would be several weeks and that she would text me a photo of it when it was installed. Still no vase. I took flowers out on November 8, 2020 to honor mom's birthday on the 9th, still no vase. Fortunately, I always take a bottle of water for the flowers, so, I cut the top off the bottle and put it in the hole intended for the vase. The flowers show just a little above ground levelshould have left the leaves in the bottom. My point is this: If they are not responsible for replacing the vase and have no intention of doing so, why the runaround, why not just tell me so we can decide whether we want to replace the vase or just leave it as it is? At this point, I have decided that what will be will be, and this will not be my final resting place.
Evelyn was very helpful in explaining the Family Estate Planning Guide. Also, she went through our file and corrected some information. I was grateful that she got it straightened out.
Evelyn Sandlin is a very polite and compassionate employee of Forest Lawn Memorial Park. We would like to thank her for all of her time and hard work in addressing our funeral arrangement concerns. God Bless! Judie and Phillip
They are proud to say they have over 16,000 buried there, but sections are not easily identifiable, no sign guidance, nor any maps available for visitors unless you go during business hours.
Very kind people and Evelyn was very helpful with no pressure. She was very good at guiding me to find my own path with my family in mind
My infant daughter was laid to rest here in 2019, the entire experience was horrible. Months after her headstone was placed I went to place flowers on her grave only to find her half dug up, casket showing etc. The GM at the time was made aware and had it covered back up but acted like it was no big deal and said "these things happen". Late 2020 her picture was finally placed on her headstone only for me to come a few weeks later to find the picture broken. The office staff at the time was made aware of this issue but the picture is still broke 2 years later. Her headstone has never sat correctly, come to find out she isn't even placed as far down as they usually place them and her headstone rests on top of her casket. Anytime I have attempted to go to the office there are children running around, crumbs all over the floor, peopleoffice staff nodding out in the front office. I've simply turned around and left. Trying to get ahold of corporate is a complete joke. I will never bring my business to this cemetery again.
I generally avoid commenting per the internet, but felt compelled to do so regarding the outstanding response received at Forest Lawn in Erlanger My father-in-law passed nearly two decades ago and was placed in the mausoleum. My mother-in-law visited his site and noticed the name plaques were a bit tarnished being in the direct sunlight and suggested they be redone. Then my mother-in-law took steps to have action taken. There was a bit of delay accomplishing this task and given the circumstances of the past months due to covid, my wife asked to see if I could help. I went to the cemetery and was introduced to and met with Christina Ingram, a Family Service Counselor on site. She and her manager were fully aware of the situation and immediately took action to resolve. And resolve they did. In less than 48 hours it was done. The new plaques look great. Christina kept me fully informed per messages and was terrific. I refer to her as my new best friend. She is remarkable, kind and nice. I understand dealing with death of loved ones is difficult and stressful for all of us and having compassionate and thoughtful guides during these times is comforting and essential. I cannot emphasize enough how good to me she was. She is an angel.
