Forrest Moline grew up in southern California, where the seafood was caught fresh daily and always at an arm's reach. He learned the ins and outs of the restaurant business at a young age, from casual bayside beach grills to local farm-to-table eateries. He also grew up in an Italian household and learned how to prepare several authentic Italian dishes from his grandmother. Later on, Forrest jumped on the opportunity to relocate to the Midwest. Although leaving behind sunny California was a tough decision, Forrest enjoyed his time in Cleveland, OH and held down multiple cooking jobs. He interned at some and managed at others. While in Cleveland, Forrest cooked at several fine dining restaurants such as Rocco Whalen's Fahrenheit and Michael Symon's Lola to name a couple. After Forrest spent some time at Lola, Symon opened a new restaurant called Roast in Detroit, MI. Forrest worked at Roast and a few other MI favorites such as The Forest Grille in Birmingham. There, Forrest worked under Brian Polcyn (School Craft College professor) and crafted his skills in Charcuterie and French cooking styles. Forrest now resides in northern Michigan's beautiful town, Traverse City. Let Forrest cater to you and your guests at your next group gathering as your own, Private Chef!
