I have never seen so nurses who don’t care for their patients the way they do most of the nurses don’t speak English and if your not their kind they can careless about you or if you need anything. When I went to see my husband I asked them to get him out of bed I was there over 3 hours they never got him up. They don’t communicate with each other for your concerns. The one physical therapist said one thing then the director of physical therapy said another. I ask them to try to move my husband closer to home because I have to drive a hour to see him when I am able to they haven’t really gotten back to me on that. His TV didn’t work the first 2 weeks he was there. And also there was roaches in my husbands room. The bathroom in his room was disgusting the sink and toilet was linking. The only good thing I can say about this facility right now is the activity coordinator is the only one who cares about the people in there and will try to bring light to everyone she talks too. I have reached out to the facility and it seems like they tell you anything just to make you happy but don’t follow through with most of what they tell you. I would not recommend this place for anyone if you need proper care.
OMG WHAT THE HECK? First, the smell was terrible! I know nursing homes have older people but it smelled like pee and other smells all throughout the place. Please don't say that it's because it's a nursing home. My father was in one on 45th street and this place was clean and did not smell at all. I almost cried when I had to leave my father there. I can't take care of his needs at my home since I'm very sickly myself. There was trash cans all down the hallway which had a terrible smell. I stayed for over two hours and they were still there. When I got home my daughter said I STINKED! I didn't ask her she said that the moment I walked passed her. I'm going to he looking for another place for him ASAP.
Worst Nursing home Ever. My husband was a Veteran and died there. Thank God he was only there for 1 month. During the Covid-19, I spoke to him 1 time and that was only by a nurse calling me on her personal phone. They have no phone for families to talk to their loved ones. The workers are barely able to speak english and most are rude. If my husband didn't have Vitas hospice I would not been able to visit him the night before he passed. They called me a month after he passed to pick up his personnel belongings and after driving there from Okeechobee, FL they did not have it ready and the maintenance man was on break. No communication at all. I did not wait to pick up his things, Thank God I had taken his wedding ring off when I saw him the night before he passed. This was a Veteran approved Nursing home. Please choose another Veteran nursing home as there are 8 other nursing homes available to choose from.
My children’s father was not allowed visitors in kidney failure. He wound up passing away without ever being able to say goodbye to his children. If that weren’t enough, his ATM card was stolen and the contents of his bank account were emptied a half hour BEFORE his death. Other items that were supposed to be in his possession went missing also. When the nurse called my mother-in-law to tell her that her only son had passed away she was rude. Absolutely inexcusable behavior! I wouldn’t recommend this facility to anybody.
I will be filing a complaint with the state based on the fact that Vohandra the social service worker and Keisha the business director failed to return my calls and request to have my fathers transfer paperwork sent to his transfer nursing home. They neglected my fathers needs to have all of his paperwork sent to his new nursing home after requests got over a week from myself and the new nursing home. My father was transferred to this disguising facility after he was released from Martin south hospital. It smells like urine throughout the entire facility and most of the upper management staff is very rude and will not return calls. It took me several request to have them send his medical documents for evaluation to transfer to new home. This place is a joke don’t ever let your loved ones stay here.
I wish I could give you zero stars.. This place is horrible. They were my moms words. My mom went in walking, came out 5 days later and couldn't walk, move her left arm. She fell twice, I was told about the first one, but not about the second one. My brother did, the hospital told me about the bruising on her forehead and shoulder, scratches on her left elbow and knee. I do believe in my heart that my mom had had a stroke that lead to her second fall. They had asked me why was I taking my mom out of there, I told them when I spoke to her she said "this place is horrible" that's all I needed to hear, plus I told her she would never go into a nursing home, because I know how all 3 shifts are. I won't put my enemies in there and I have a few!
If I could give negative stars, I would! The workers are disrespectful, disgusting, and abusive! I watched an aide let this man fall right next to my father. The man was screaming for hours. The poor guy! You can count the roaches and any other insects in this place. Place smells like straight urine not just the room soon as you enter the facility. Emergency buttons don’t work. They let anybody come in the room and steal the patients items. They dose up patients medication without even notifying family members. They don’t even notify family members if an incident occurred and sent your love one out to the hospital. The STATE needs to get involved and I sure will be calling and getting my father out of this place before he dies. No rehab nothing has been done. Abuse to the elderly. You have elderly people in there that just need a little help and these people are trying to kill them and make sure they die. How can you say your dad fell a couple times but turn around and say there’s an aid in the room 24-7. State!!! State!!! Please shut the place down and the staff. Investigation needs to be done. Cameras needs to be placed. I will be calling.
My brother is at this facility he has to wait 5, 6, 7 hours to get his ostomy bag empty or changed. Usually it just explodes from the pressure. I have addressed these concerns with management. They are understaffed, especially with covid-19. Sometimes the main phone just doesn't get answered. My sister and I have to call all the time to ask for help for my brother. He is on a special ostomy diet which they are not willing to accommodate. He contracted covid-19 here, luckily survived. Your best bet is to call the administrator or director of nursing if you have to get something done. And they still have roaches and nats. Consulate! Do better here! You have a few good nurses and aides who are trying but they need help! The 2 stars are for them.
They never transfer you the phone over your family in that place. They never let you know how is everything going with the rehab of the patients, they are careless. Is going from bad to worst this nightmare place. Really bad smell everywhere, very rud nurses and people working. My father has been there for a lil more than a month and still not having a schedule rehab plan yet. They have to practice dialysis to him but they don't do it at their place, so they have to send him somewhere else to do it, well, they couldn't get the purse for patient to get him on time so he missed his appointment, then it happened again 2 days after, finally they have to send him to the ER because his situation was critical......almost passed......they are also thieves!getting paid my father disability and didn’t tell me!
Editing my previous review... Physical therapy has been great since we hot it rolling@ I'm up and moving around. Back to being able to est and my legs are getting stronger everyds@@ The rest of the facility has not changed dtill the same.. zztherapy staff is amazing hands doen@@ if I was allowed I'd stay in the gum all day@!
