When you look down from the vista point of the GG Bridge, you can see the Fort Point, a National Historic Site. It's a nice place to bring your family, especially young children who love history. Easy parking, clean public rest rooms, plenty of benches. It's a place to enjoy watching the big waves crash the rocks! Capture it!Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Wonderful well preserved historic building in San Francisco. This place is filled with history. It’s a nice place to wonder and explore. The top floor gives you a unique view of the Golden Gate Bridge that stands on top of the building.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
If you don’t have a car it’s a nice mini .6 mile hike down that is well worth it. You get to see a very close up of under the bridge and if it not foggy it probs one of the best spots to see the Golden Gate Bridge. It is free and really don’t need more then an hour of your day to walk around.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
DO YOU NEED TO BE IN NATURE TO CALM YOURSELF OR THINK? THIS IS THE PLACE FOR THE ADVENTUROUS OUTDOORSMAN OR PHOTOGRAPHER Absolutely beautiful. And there are little hidden bunkers everywhere. If you're looking for a beautiful picture this place can give you the perfect photo from anywhere. There's a few hiking trails and a beautiful beach to walk along. Take a stroll into mother nature.
My favorite place to take visitors in San Francisco! For one, it has really amazing views of Golden Gate Bridge since it sits right underneath it. But the Fort itself is really cool as well. It's so much fun to explore throughout the fort, the vast majority which is wide open for you to roam at your own pace.
It's a super nice place. Also great that it's free. It can be busy, but that just depends on the time you are there. but otherwise the view is really priceless. beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the bay. further a Beautiful view and clear sky Talked to many people who have only experienced this in the fog It was mighty beautiful the next day. After taking off with the plane towards the bridge, it was shrouded in ground fog and we only saw the pillars of the bridge
The historical site itself is not that super interesting but with some history. The best part is that you can view Golden Gate Bridge from underneath, which is quite unique, the view from there is awesome and fun to walk around. The small exhibition in the site is good as well. And IT"S FREE!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Hands down the best site to get a photo of the Golden gate bridge. Beautiful fort that has a full panoramic view of the Golden gate, with cannon openings still ready to defend the Bay from pirates and enemies. Go to the top level to experience the cold wind!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
