Although they don't have large models or real planes in the museum, the treasures they have are full of history and accuracy. Many photos of pilots and mechanics, original POW notification letters, models, maps, etc. Amazing display of our air history.
Fascinating find that I was not expecting after being diverted on our flight from Dallas Fort Worth due to weather. Nifty BBQ sandwich shop and a bathroom that apparently won some type of prestigious award in 2005. See pictures The TSA staff was friendly despite the fact that I accidentally set off the alarm going out of the gate area. Really neat air history exhibits and models based on planes flown in the 1940-1960 era. Was a wonderful way to spend a 3hr diversion and honestly made the trip worth it - Fort Smith has an airport to be proud of.
Great exhibits honoring Arkansas's aviation heroes. I was fortunate to be there when the museum's curator and guide was on hand to explain some of the exhibits and plans for the future. Thank you Wayne for an interesting and informative morning.
It's models in glass cases at the airport lobby. We felt very deceived by the website.
Lots of cool things to look at if your waiting for a flight. Very clean and nice atmosphere.
Airport with some great historic items and information. Small, but we'll kept.
There are many excellent small exhibits on pilots from the area.
Free inside airport Wish they had a actual tour guide and real planes to see
Food was good and the staff was great.
