Fort Washington Fitness has an ambiance like no other gym in town. It features a warm and inviting decor, plenty of free weight, cable and machines to meet every fitness goers needs. Cardio equipment of all kinds downstairs and upstairs, including but not limited to Jacob's Ladder, eliptical, stairmills and more. Male & female private locker rooms featuring showers and saunas. "Fort Washington Fitness is a friendly & affordable gym in Fresno, CA providing more than 23,000 square feet of fitness equipment designed to optimize the member experience. We are not a typical gym – our interior is a beautifully crafted Spanish-style space, a resort atmosphere that is a far cry from normal industrial gym designs. We find that our members take great pride in coming to such a fantastic facility, & it affects how they perform during workouts. We offer over 35 weekly group exercise classes included with membership. Gym memberships start at $29 a month. We are located next to Woodward Park in the River View Shopping Center. We offer discounts for students, law enforcement, military, educators & senior citizens. LGBT friendly."

Horrible experience. I cancelled my membership and do not owe anything. However, I keep getting letters and texts saying there’s an issue with my account and I owe money. I’ve spoken with many workers and they say everything is fine, but I still keep getting papers saying I owe. I continually ask to speak to a manager and every-time they say they’re not there or they will call me. This is ridiculous. I’ve never had any issues with other gyms here in Fresno.
Was told the steam room would be closed for a couple weeks when I first joined in 2021. It’s 2023 and this sign is still up. Luckily I have gb3 to utilize, but it’s sucks having to drive to that gym to get in the steam room. Other than that, place is much emptier than gb3.
Pretty solid gym. Staff is very nice. Good equipment. Only complaint is the internet is horrible and sometimes staff isn’t at the front desk for periods of times
Very clean gym. Lots of different weights free, dumbbell, kettlebell, barbell, and machines. Tons of cardio equipment. Separate weight area than the main floor so you get the feeling of having the gym all to yourself.
They gym itself is good. Billing however is horrible. On my birthday my card on file expired. I was out of town for a family Illness, I’m losing my mother Meanwhile this gym charges me $38 in late fees even when I updated my card once I returned. I was shocked that I had to pay $77 for the month with the “late” fees when I didn’t intend on being late and I updated my card on file before the end of the new month Penalized pretty hefty and wasn’t going to leave off on my mother to update a gym membership Nice local gym but billing is very corporate vibe In hindsight GB3 probably should be your choice for the area
No complaints, got what you need. Just wish they played louder music upstairs cuz u can't hear it but maybe that's the point, idk. Great place though.
August 28th, still no WiFi, and no towels tonight. Why respond if you're not going to fix the issue? Resolved one issue but not most important. Comcast is throttling the amount of users you can have on your network. I pay full rate would be nice to have full use of the benefits, but still: Not holding our breath because I just don't see it getting fixed. Wifi doesn't work for us, person behind counter claimed it had to be our error even an employee said they were having issues with it. After a time away was looking forward to coming back. Also no cleaning materials on either visit. BTW: other customer overheard us and stated they had same issues with WiFi. Otherwise a good gym working on being better?
Since the new ownership took over they have ruined the gym. The bathrooms are filthy and poor ventilation.They have removed all towel dispensers and placed clean-ex out to dry hands and have one hand blow dryer and one trash can for entire bathroom. The wet sauna is so filthy and smells so bad you don't even want to go inside. The dry sauna is never washed out and has exposed electrical coming out the wall. The dumbbell racks are missing considerable amounts of weights that have been broken and never replaced, The cardio equipment is old and worn out, broken handles and broken plastic on most of them and large amounts are out of order. Music is loud and aggressive rap and not targeting the demographic. Staff turnover is excessive, they have had 4 managers fired in last 6 months and maybe 2 staff who have been there over 5 months, Current manager is not friendly at all, no eye contact, never says hello or goodbye , never remembers names despite the low number of members and the fact I'm there 5 days a week. They stopped locker rental and long term use and they are day use only so you cannot leave your gym items at the gym. Showers are absolutely disgusting , water stained, stink, always garbage in them. They painted the gym prison grey and black, it drab and unappealing. The evening hours are inconvenient closing on Fridays at 9PM and Sat and Sun at 7PM. There is no doubt the other reviews here are fake or been posted by ownership. Same owner as Fitness Republic $10 gyms who just changed their name to Valley Fitness because of poor reputation. They market this gym as a concierge gym however it is the opposite it is run down, poorly managed, unclean with old equipment, bad music. Now they are selling add on services like red light that are free at other local gyms, the marketing material looks like a 12 year old made. Employees said last month had 50 cancellations and 5 signups . It seems like they are almost intentionally trying to run off the members, but its very clear ownership is struggling and does not know how to operate a Fitness club properly. Its sad because before it was a nice alternative to GB3 for high end older demographic, now its a dump. I cannot think it will be open much longer.... Honest and Truthful review
No one bothers you. That's what I love. Got my workout in with my Trainer Frank.. Hes the best. This whole Gym is DOPE. Everyone so nice...
