Been visiting this park since I was a child. Visited on 4th of July, when I came home to visit. Love the duck pond, but the fountain was not on and water needed cleaning of trash. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience. Many changes in past 4 years.
I was a the opening of this a number of years ago. It is a great way to remember those who have given their life for the people of Fort Worth. It is unfortunate that the parks department does not make an effort to keep it clean. It regularly stinks of old cigarettes and piss. Do better.
Peaceful and beautiful place. Shadow loves it.
Beautiful area, great memorial, lots of open space, great place when there is fireworks, duck pond is nice the geese are always getting mad at the ducks though lol and great playground but super busy there is a smaller not as fancy playground near the duck pond though Ps. Don't feed the ducks bread it's bad for them find an alternative and people feed the squirrels so some might be friendly and get close
If it wasnt for these grate men in women. This city would a be off the chain even more. Thanks
This has always been an amazing place to sit peacefully and enjoy the fall weather.
My heart was warmed by this memorial. I have an uncle who died in the line of duty as a police officer and another Uncle who served as a fireman for 30 years.
It's an amazing park specially for children
Saw it walked my Boss who's legally blind there to see the Venue for White Cane day the following Saturday. Nice but the cobblestones walk is hard on the canes on the way to the Pavilion. On the walk on the way back we discovered the truck path which was smooth. Imho before the Venue FtW should run a clean sweeper to protect the blind People and have some stationed at the Memorial itself to either guide them through or tell the Blind where the other entrance is. Thanks Idk what happened day of. Her family drove for her. I was off that day.
This place is good for viewing the monument and reading the stories behind the scene. A nice place to have a wedding, family function or walk in the park. Lots of stores, eateries, downtown living or site seeing the area. Fort Worth is growing at a rapid speed.
