Very large and well equipped RV Resort. It appears there are many long-term residents including tiny houses and all varieties of RV. Full hook-ups. Onsite pools, racket sport courts, golf course, restaurant and bar. Many activities. Park is conveniently located right of the highway.
Just stayed here 3 nights while passing through and exploring Yuma. Everyone was so welcoming! And there were so many activities! It would be a good place to spend a month or two. Typical of these large RV Parks with Park Model homes - the spaces were close together. However, it was a quiet park except near the bar during karaoke LOL Our back-in site was level with a small concrete patio and full hook-ups. No picnic table but that is typical of these types of parks. We enjoyed the Margarita Madness event one afternoon and played 9 holes of golf on their course too. Friendly, helpful staff. Our AT&T cell service worked great. We weren't able to pick up their wi-fi from our site, so we just used our hotspot.
This RV Resort is one of CalAm's flagship properties in Yuma. It sits in a beautiful location considering it's Yuma in the shadows of the foothills. The front staff does a good job of keeping the baby boomers happy, a tough job by any standard. The activities director is creative and organizes nice events. The main attractions are its 11 pickleball courts with good coaching and leadership along with a nice golf course, shuffle, Bocce ball, tennis, and the normal things you expect from a decent resort. The signage on the billboard out front looks like a product of Mrs. Romerez's second grade art class, but don't let that dissuade your first impression of this #CalAm property.
The Bar and Grill was a savior after a long drive and no energy to cook. Our server, Rachel, was fabulous and the food a welcome delight. We'll be stopping back on our way east
This RV resort really cares about their customers! When you're in need of help they will help you right away! The ladies in the office are very kind and helpful and work with you if you have a problem every way possible! Heather, Valerie, and especially Alyssa have been very helpful!!! They also have great services here, very clean facilities like there restrooms laundry room and pool! A restaurant with great food, great entertainment and activities almost every day! The people here are also very friendly who really care, plus there is a beautiful panoramic view of the mountains! I was here several years ago, and couldn't wait to come back again! I highly recommend this place to everyone as I think Fortuna De Oro is the best RV Resort in Yuma!!!
Many amenities at this park and you sure pay for them. If you don't have a golf cart you have to drive to them. For us this park is too big with over 1000 sites. Many model homes and our RV was difficult to back in the tight site.
Currently living here and lack superlatives. Beautiful area, nice spots, well kept and kind and helpful staff. Close to everything you can think of and Yuma is 10 miles away. Would be nice to have a little store. Otherwise, we are definitely happy campers among the nicest happy campers!
Great Resort, will be going back often! Lots to do with beautiful sports complex! Made a lot of great new friends from around the USA and Canada!
I called last week to book reservations. My request was simple, any space that will accommodate my 35' travel trailer. Alicia, if you're not capable or competent enough to handle that, you should have handed me off to someone who is. I called back on Monday morning and left a message. No return phone calls to me. I called back in the afternoon. Again left a message and no return phone calls. Any particular reason you are singling me out? How can I give a real review when I can't even stay there?
They don’t have anyone to maintain the pools daily, now both pools are being drained and will be shut down for 3-5 days. It will take another 3-5 days to get them to a temp that we can enjoy. We pay to have these pools mantained. Unhappy!
