This park has been our winter destination for the last few years. Park has many activities. We come here because its clean and well maintained. The pull-thru sites are closer to the road. The back of the park is pretty quiet
This park was rated 10.10.10! How they have that rating is beyond me. Check in was great , assistance to our site was great.. and that’s about it. The highway noise is so loud we had to buy ear plugs just to sleep. The pull through sites are just a joke. I think the management is out for the money and has no regard to the comfort of their guests. I have never been so close to another RV in any park we have stayed. When we opened the door to our outdoor kitchen it hardly cleared hitting the RV beside us. The patio between is a strip of concrete where you can look at your trailer or the neighbors. We are big outdoor people I mean we did come for the sun and never sat outside once. We had booked and paid for a week and after the first night we were looking for a new spot. We moved 3 days later when we could find something else and lost the money for the rest of the week. This is by far the worst RV park we have ever stayed in. If you don’t like semi trucks going by all day and all night, and you enjoy time outside and want some trees and space avoid this park!!!
We stayed here for 5 days in late April. It was hot with no shade. The sites are gravel with a concrete isle for your lawn chairs. The highway traffic creates a lot of noise. I stayed here with a 40’ RV and pulling a 20’ trailer.
This RV park is real nice. The management and residents are so nice and friendly. Restrooms and laundry room very clean. Laundry prices reasonable. Awesome library. Except for the wifi, only get it at the office, laundry room & office. At the site is spotted only comes on 4 am - maybe to 6 am, during the day hopeless come around 10 pm off & on.
We camped in this snowbird park off season. Hence, the park was nearly empty and very quiet. The park itself caters to semi-permanently installed modular homes and fifth wheels, but there is an unexciting transient area of pull through sites near the entry that is basically gravel, no landscaping, but level. Fine for an overnight, without unhooking a tow. Basic amenities of water and 50 amp electric worked fine. Did not connect to sewer or wifi. Overall, the park was clean and free of any trash. The sites are very exposed to the summer sun, so working AC is a must. A small dog run near the entrance is adequate. The pool/spa area appeared clean and maintained.
We are currently staying here. Not sure why they have such low ratings. The staff and current residents are absolutely wonderful. All facilities laundry, pool, showers, mail room, office, and I mean everything is so clean. Lots to do. We are snowbirds from Indiana. We will definitely come back. We like that Yuma has beautiful weather. It's also not that far from CA and Mexico. We've enjoyed CA, Phoenix, Casa Grande, and Tucson. Visited lots of National Parks. I would recommend Shangri-La for sure.
Very bad experience with this rv park. We had a medical situation arise with our only child diagnosed with cancer. We went to the office to see if something could be done about returning some of our money. The office girl Cathy seemed concerned but the office manager would not even acknowledge our problem or even talk to us about it. When we vacated the park the office girl wished the best for us and again the office manager didn't say a word. No thank you, nothing even though we lost our years rent. As far as I'm concerned this manager is very unapologetic and could care less about people and their problems. Will never go back there and will never recommend it to anyone. People there is RV parks in Yuma that appreciate your business. I wished we would have looked at them more closely. Do yourself a big favor and look elsewhere, you'll be glad you did.
This is an example of what not to do if you are running an rv park. Harassing customers. Threatening them and their guests. 55 and over only. The place had become a little full of themselves pre covid as they have a big variety of recreational activities, though they are all outside except for a billiards room and this is the middle of the friggin desert. They were able to charge high prices they raised the rent from $350/mo one day to $1000/mo the next for a parking space is just...well let's just say the world doesn't need you and people would pay it. Being rude and hateful towards people and they would obey and apologize. Raising rent without notice and then when my parents didn't have triple the money they gave them an eviction notice for the end of the week given to them monday night in their mailbox-notice said 7daysthen tuesday morning 9 hours after receiving the notice they showed up and said that my parents had to be out now or they would call the sheriff. Apparently they have a deal with them because every part of that is ILLEGAL IN EVERY FREE COUNTRY ON EARTH and yet, they get away with it. Now with the reduced occupancy of Yuma, Arizona, they have a for sale sign out front. Stay away from this place if you want to be treated fairly, with dignity, and not be tak n advantage of. Literally anywhere is better. I am personally a fan of foothills village, but there Are plenty of good places in Yuma, just not here.
We enjoyed our stay here. Everyone was very friendly. Sites are gravel and dirt and very level. Utilities worked well. There are lots of activities going on here, always something to do. The one thing that struck us as being odd was that people with pets are in a separate section from ones without pets. We don't have pets, but we like to see people walking their dogs. We probably won't come back to this area but if we do, we'd stay in this park again.
Ok park.. most that stay here are permanent snowbirds. There are a number of them that don’t like the week-at-a-time guys us. Conveniently located - although there is some freeway noise. Will not stay here again. There are other parks around that seem more receptive to non-permanent visitors.
