Forty-Eight: Using your talents to make a difference in the community.
Forty-Eight: Charity Film Competition is a student led National Broadcasting Society sponsored video contest that integrates raising awareness and money for local charities and Liberty students using their God-given talents to produce a short promotional video for the charities to use. Teams of 3-5 students each will have 48 hours to write, film and edit their videos that will promote the charity randomly chosen for them. The weekend after the 48 hours a black tie fundraiser event will take place featuring the charities and formal judging of the videos. All money raised during the black tie event is divided amongst the charities chosen to participate.
The 48 hour competition is from Feb. 18-20. Teams must register by emailing [email protected] or signing up at the kick-off Feb. 17. There is a $10 registration fee per team. The Black Tie Event is on Feb. 24 from 8 p.m.-10:30 p.m. in Liberty University's Grand Lobby. Tickets are $4 and can be purchased at Vines Center Ticket Office.
