Very good quality tasty food. Large portion sizes. Steve the owner is very hands on. Family recipes. Very highly recommended. Restrooms very clean. Definitely will return. Amazing hidden gem.
Great people good portions only the pancakes are like crepes/pancakes between very good variety come have breakfast see you
Great breakfast spot! Stopped in for a bite and was not disappointed. Pancakes were thin but super light and fluffy, so yummy. Bacon was nice and crispy and the banana smoothie was a banana lover's dream. Can't wait to come back and try more!
The pancakes are awesome. They were big and thin, with slightly crisp edges... not like that stuff you get at those 24/7 restaurant chains. But one can't fully function on pancakes alone so order any of their breakfast dishes. I especially liked the egg and bacon croissant sandwich, which was loaded with bacon almost too much.
Food was pretty good. Omelette and strawberry milkshake were excellent. The wait wasnt too long because we just spent the time looking at the menu trying to choose what we want. We went on new years day and they gave us a little cup of black eyed peas as good luck for the new year. I thought that was nice.
I was excited about visiting this place because I read good reviews about it and it was close to the house. $22 + dollars for 2 large & tasty, yet very thin & rubbery pancakes, 2 dry, rubbery scrambled eggs, 1 delicious sausage patty, 1 partially burned croissant breakfast sandwich, 1 coffee & 2 juices? I must have gone on a bad day because I could have gotten more and better tasting food from my favorite fast food restaurant at half the price.
The food is pretty good and most everyone is fairly good at what they do. But, many times I go there and an older guy Kinda acts like the owner or something is cashier/order taker and he has a huge attitude that rubs off on the rest of the staff. Four stars when he is not there, two stars when he is.
I've been here a billion times. Great place in general. I tend to go for breakfast, which is always very good. Order what you want. If they have the ingredients, they will make it for you. And, they make cakes onsite, so order one and eat it before your omelette arrives.
Stopped in on our way back to San Antonio from a cruise... drove a little out of the way to give it a try. The food was pure deliciousness... It was fresh and made to order. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the few extra miles!
Sorry to see you close.. So many times small cafes as yours are the hidden gems of local restaurants. I recall a story about a local burger eatery in Washington State that was voted the best burger in the nation .. The publicity ruined his business and he was overrun with customers .. His family run cafe was ruined by the great praise and reviews. I wish you the very best and Thank You for serving the community for over thirty years
