My grandmother moved in at the beginning of the month and it has been so amazing! Steve was great and gave my grandma, my uncle, aunt, and myself tours prior to move in. Their team was also fantastic with the small items surrounding move in. She is loving her apartment and the new people she’s been meeting. We are so glad to have found Fountainview!
BEWARE. While this community seemed like heaven on earth at first and to the eye it is not. My uncle recently had to go into hospice care as he is at end of life. He actually hasn’t been in his unit that we still pay for in months. Fountainview is very experienced with guest at end of life and needing to be moved out but do they want to NO! Stephanie the manager is incompetent to say the least. I have least many messages to speak to her to end my uncles lease and she hasn’t returned one. Fountainview is wanting to have us continue to pay for his unit, that he hasn’t lived in in months while he is on his death bed . At this point I feel this is elder abuse that I fully intend to make known to all. If you love your family member there are many other options especially in west palm beach that I would HIGHLY suggest you look into. Fountainview is under new management and they stopped caring about their residents and it’s nothing but a high polished money grab.
I recently had to move a family member from 1 Assisted living facility to Fountain View West Palm Beach. I have been so pleasantly surprised by the entire process. the staff that attend to my mom daily have been fantastic. They engage in conversation with a smile and courteous manner all while attending to her needs. As a nurse what I am so very impressed with is the nursing staff, especially Lydia. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and update you if there is the slightest of concern. Living 3,000 miles away I have all the confidence that my family member is being truly cared for. I cannot express how happy we are with this move! I definitely Fountain View WPB if you are considering an assisted living facility.
It has been so rewarding to work at Fountainview these past few years. From exciting events with families, residents, and professionals to the joy of helping someone choose a new lifestyle, it’s an incredible place to be.
My father has been a resident of Fountainview since 5/22. I live very close by and spend a lot of time at the community. There are some wonderful residents and extremely kind team members. The dining has become a serious issue. The quality of the food has declined immensely and there have been serious issues with service. My father and I have addressed it more than once and I am hopeful that this will improve sooner than later. The company heavily promotes the dining experience and many have no choice but to eat what is provided. This must be rectified. On the flip side, it’s a beautiful and safe place but the 9% increase after only being there since May is hard to accept when he has trouble getting a good meal.
The last paragraph of this review was written over a year ago. Things have changed quite dramatically since then. The care level has dropped off the charts. The food is nothing like it was when first presented. Food needs to be delivered by private care in order to see that Mom eats. Yeah, she is picky but the food is not so good anymore. Items are constantly missing from the room, that is anything from shoes, dishes and personal items such as pull-up sanitary panties and such. It is believed that the staff is searching for items to care for others. It all conjecture of course but it is constant. for two months now mom has had private care four hours a day to clean the room, clean her body, feed and visit with her. Other residents have been heard hollering in the halls for item such as toilet paper. No one seems to answer the call buttons. The elevators are out of commission and out of permit. Fire codes therefor are violated. This all needs to be addressed. I fear to try to make a move to another place because a year ago I felt this was the best place to be. I imagine the entire industry is failing the seniors of Florida. It just doesn't make sense that this once 5 Star facility has fallen so far. This is a follow up review. Below is how I felt in May 2022. It pains me to write this follow up review. "After reading previous reviews I''ll have to say they are all quite correct. this place is probably the best you can expect to find most anywhere. Truly 5 star dinning and the entire facility measures up to that as well. Compared to other facilities in the immediate area it certainly was also the best valuel. We were fortunate to have meet with the Assistant Executive Director, Michael DaSilva, during our search for an assisted living home for my mother-in-law. Michael is a perfect host and presented us with a wonderful tour of the facility. No pressure sales here, no need, the place sells itself. A beautiful compound and we just love the social settings. It seems to be a great benefit for all the residents that somewhere around 80% of the residents are Senior Living residents, I think 55 and older and 20% or so are assisted living. A very comfortable mix. I feel fortunate to have moved our loved one into this place."
I moved into Fountainview a year ago. I have a 2Bedroom 2 Bath apartment with a wonderful view. The residents are very friendly and welcome newcomers, and a good variety of activities and entertainment are offered. The food service was great when I came, now it is a problem for many of us.Yesterday they didn't even have bread available. Dinners are now buffet style with repetitive menus. The weekly cleaning lady said she is only allowed 40 minutes to clean my apartment. On top of that I was given almost a 10 percent increase in my rent with what is now reduced services. So if you average out the good part with the part that is not so good, I give it 3 stars.
My mother hated the food. I ate lunch there and got sick once. The jacuzzi was closed by health Dept when I was there. The staff did not check on my mother as she laid in her apt with a stroke. The nurse I hired found her in the morning. The stroke happened the night before. My brother n his wife showed up to get her things after she died. I had to sort thru her things tcb. There was a lot of sentimental and things of value.i commend the nurse I hired for taking mom's diamond off her finger giving to my sister in law . She said the staff would steal it. Sandy said I could stay there until the funeral as mom was paid up in rent. In the morning the mgr Sarah and the guard threw me out! I was in mourning cold hearted manager. I should have made report . My mom wanted to leave fountainview. She wanted kosher food. They ignored her dietary preferences. I will never know truth about why Boone knew mom died really all alone. But Sarah didn't want me talking to her neighbors. They were afraid liability. My advice. If ur parent is not in good perfect Heath don't go fountain view.and I had to leave n stay
I am very happy that I was invited for a tour at Fountainview, I liked it since the vey beginning, The place is beautiful and they fallow thru with every thing they promise. Especially Ms Denae Woodward is wonderful. The food is excellent and they take us to Dr's appointments, to different stores four days a week, in addition we have activities every hour of the week. Also we have entertainment weekly with different artists of the community. Fountainview is really 5 stars. Thank you.
I can't say enough about how special the Fountainview community is and how amazing Sandy is! Sandy went above and beyond to help my mom feel welcome and comfortable in her new home. The apartments are super clean, the pool area is gorgeous and relaxing, the residents and staff are welcoming and kind, and the food is great quality restaurant food for each meal. Thank you Sandy for all that you have done to help my mom in her transition and for all that you do everyday for the entire Fountainview community!
