I had a great experience with Fox!  I rented directly through the Fox website and got a fantastic rate - easily 1/3 of the competitor's prices.  I was a little worried about being haggled with up-selling at pickup, but no such thing happened.  I did double-check with my personal insurance to make sure I'd be covered in case of an accident, and printed out all my documents so I was prepared.  The vehicle provided was a lot larger than expected I reserved a compact SUV and received a huge Toyota 4Runner - but I would much prefer this than the other way around.  I ended up really enjoying the Toyota!  Customer service was excellent from start to finish; even the shuttle driver was friendly and the shuttle was a clean, elite Suburban.  Thanks Fox!

If you travel and plan to drive a good deal, a car rental is essential. Most every major airport offers car rentals, mostly the big-name car rental brands. One lesser known car rental provider is Fox Rent a Car, which I used for the first time here in Orange County following a flight into the local airport.  Having never used this car rental service, I was a little skeptical. I wondered how they were able to offer such competitive prices, and I quickly learned why. They are not located right at the airport, like the others. You have to take a shuttle to their building, which is a few miles down the road. Also, there is no mention of them in the airport. The other car rental companies are mentioned by name, on signage, so you can easily tell exactly where to go. Fox is not. You need to check your email messages from them, find the place to go, and wait for a shuttle.  The ride to and from the airport is easy enough and the wait was short. There was almost no one at the car rental facility, so the wait to rent the car was short and efficient. Like any car rental company, they offer you various types of insurance, but they quickly take no for an answer when you say you don’t want the coverage. The people who work there are friendly and helpful and they send you on your way quickly.  If you are limited on time and need to get your car rental quickly, Fox Rent a Car may not be the best choice. But if you have time on your hands, I recommend giving this rental service a try the next time you’re at Orange County Airport and in need of a vehicle. I wasn’t so sure at first, but the positive experience has convinced me to give this car rental service another chance. It’s less expensive than the others and they treat you right.

Planning a visit to Orange County for Mother’s Day, I researched auto rental options in the area. I selected FOX RENT A CAR as the prices and availability best met my needs. This was my first time using FOX but it will most definitely NOT be my last. What an extremely efficient process from pick up to drop off! I waited only minutes for the shuttle service upon arrival as well as for my return to the airport. My vehicle was super clean, odor free and ran smoothly! I also appreciate the timeliness and efficiency in email communication. The final cost was accurate and even slightly LESS than the projected cost! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOX RENT A CAR!

We were happy to have friendly staff greet us as we returned the car. The location is very convenient. There was a long wait at the front desk, but it must have been a busy time.

I was honestly very happy with my rental, the guy at the front counter was very helpful and even got us an upgrade to a 2021 red Jeep Wrangler that was freakin awesome. it was very affordable for a week and will rent again for sure.

NOT AT THE AIRPORT!! They should not be allow to list themselves as located at the AirPort. It is $25 Can ride or a $15Uber ride to get to the office, located in some creepy dark strip mall. There was ONE guy for 6 of us waiting in line. I prepaid to avoid the line, but you will still be waiting in line. Next time I’ll go with a real rental company, located in the airport lobby.

5/1 - John Wayne airport CCalled the customer service after waiting for about 20min. The agent said she cannot do anything to help me since the maximum waiting time is 30min. The shuttle suppose come every 10-20min  After 15min, I called them back to check on the driver. “ Don’t worry ma’am, I sent them an email” I asked the agent on the phone if there’s a tracker or phone #of the driver to check on the status, but of course,they don’t have that kind of information and repeated what she told me earlier.  another 15min passed, I saw one couple decided to take the taxi it’s about 10-15min away from the airport and cost about &gt;$25 for the ride  Total of 1hr waiting, finally the guy showed up. With a black SUV without a sign of “FOX car rental shuttle”. there were about 10ppl waiting. Other were kind enough to let us ride first.  The driver said he’s been waiting…. This guy was just standing by the “supposedly” fox shuttle without a sign on the car. Maybe let all us know that he’s here?? Maybe? I don’t know …  When we got to the rental place, there was only one person working at the desk plus couple of car cleaning guys.  The cleaning guy dropped off the car by us, didn’t say anything a word or an instruction and took off. No other worker seemed to be around so we took off. We waited enough.  5/4: when we dropped off the rental car, we gave the check off paper to this old guy and it was blank. So this guy had the attitude to tell me that we weren’t supposed to leave without being checked off. He even cut me off while I was trying to explain the situation of the day we picked up the rental car….  Lack of customer service, coordination and professionalism. The grumpy old guy said “next time you wait” well sir, there is no next time. FOX SUCKS

Fox's location is not at the airport, but the ride is driving down some 4-lane business district roads, and it was all right hand turns to get there which was about 7 minutes.  The modest van was comfortable, and the staff were all friendly.   The car was in very good condition, and all of the cars on the lot looked really good.  I wasn't in that big of a rush to pay larger fees for the convenience of location.

Everything about Fox rent a Car OC was excellent. I picked it up in 6 minutes! The SUV was in clean condition & it was so comfy & made my trip to Vegas the best. Lastly returning my vehicle took 2 whole minutes which was like icing on the cake which was much appreciated. Will always come back to rent from Fox!

I should have known better!  We originally ordered an economical car and we got switched through 3 different cars until finally they gave us one that worked!  There were additional charges we were not originally made aware of when we made the online reservation.  The shuttle also to get taken to the airport was HOT and took forever to arrive. Some folks were waiting 45+ minutes to get taken.  Let my picture be a representation of the overall experience with them. An older beat up building with poor signage of their business and a shuttle bus that’s literally being held together by tape.  Lesson learned.
