Fox River Valley Public Library District

My family loves going to this library. In addition to books obviously the library has lots of rotating children's activities, scavenger hunts, video games, STEM kits, and toys to borrow, and more. There are also a variety of programs for all different ages and interests. This is such an asset to the community! Be sure to check out Wahoo Woods behind the library for a nature based play area!

Dundee Library has been a wonderful resource for me and my family for books, movies & resource services. The staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve enjoyed participating in book clubs there and always look forward to seeing their monthly & seasonal updates of the latest books, media and programs.

Love the atmosphere... everyone is friendly and in such a good mood. I love this library the most... I have two boys under age 10 and they at times forget that we are in a library and should use "library voices" no one in the kids area has ever given us a "judgy" look as I am too at time...they get it from their mamá ....working in our inside voices:

Needed a new library card. In about 2 minutes they had a new one for me. Very helpful. I had a lot of questions and they answered everyone.

Love this library! The kids' Spanish selection is amazing, as is the book+CD selection! With Wahoo Woods immediately behind it, also, this is one of my kids' favorite places to visit.

The staff is professional and efficient; I enjoy researching job postings. I found a full-time, administrative temporary assignment in two weeks.

FRVPL - Dundee Public Library has great programming for children to adults. The staff is always helpful. They provide virtual programming through the COVID 19. The library offers home delivery for patrons who want or need it through this pandemic. The library also sells your vehicle sticker, with the patrons vehicle sticker registration. Im really impressed with the virtual programs, where a project is set up, patrons register, and then come in, pick up bags of supplies, and follow along in their homes. Great library.

The best library in the world and in all of history. Sorry Alexandria and Baghdad, you must compete for 2nd place. Need to borrow an American girl doll or one of a multitude of awesome STEM activities? Done. Need a free notary? Done. Need to borrow free wireless internet routers? Done. Tons of activities for the family, great learning opportunities for kids, tons of audio books to borrow. Hands down the best hidden gem in all of Illinois.

An excellent neighborhood library with fun things for kids. A good adult section with several computers.
