The Mission of the Framingham Fire Department is to protect the lives and property of the people of Framingham from Fire, Hazardous Material incidents, the effects of Natural and Man-made Disasters, to Save Lives by providing Emergency Medical Services, Education through Fire Prevention, and other forms of Community and Department Services that result in improving the quality of life for all.
The Framingham Fire Department is an organization of dedicated professionals who are committed to protecting the citizens of Framingham from loss of life and property from the ravages of fire, and to respond in a quick and efficient manner to medical emergencies. Through fire prevention education our mission is to prevent disastrous incidents from occurring and to minimize damage to life, property, and the environment.
In addition to fire suppression duties, this department responds to medical emergencies, hazardous material incidents, water problems, and other calls for assistance.
The fire prevention division provides safety education, code enforcement, plan review and inspections.
We are committed to delivering these services through proper staffing strategically placed throughout the community and to do so in a cost-effective manner.
