Came here for The Boston Lights and it was a great time! My kids, 7 and 10 absolutely loved it. My wife and I did as well! It was a great set up. A fun walk and we took our time and truly enjoyed it. There is snacks and food vendors. I would recommend to come see this display! Good memories!

First time going. We really enjoyed it but next will probably go a little later, although there was a beautiful sunset and it was dark by the time we finished.  It is less crowded at the earlier time as we had no trouble parking but when we left the parking was almost non-existent.  We drove down from NH and boy the traffic is crazy down there. Again, well worth it.

Great zoo. Nice location. We have a family membership that includes this and stoneham zoo. Franklin Park is far superior. Took us 3 hours to see everything with two small kids. Couple different playgrounds and other spots for kids to burn off extra energy.

Great place to see the animals. Such as lions, monkeys,zebras and my favorite the condor. Lots of free parkingvery easy to find. If your in town to see the displays of light check em out. Didn't make it to see them lit but even during the day they look excellent. A certain must if your in boston!

One of Boston's best kept secrets.  Plenty of spaces to explore and feel like you're no longer in the city.  Playgrounds, bike riding, golf, tennis, baseball/softball, picnic areas, ponds, trails, ruins.  Playground: Several modern playgrounds for the kids.  Rarely crowded.  Restrooms: The picnic area near the tennis courts has port a potties in the summer  Dog-friendliness: I walk my dog off leash and we enjoy going off the trail into the woods  Picnic area: There are picnic tables in designated areas and then there are lots of places along the trails and off trail to have a picnic or cookout.  Bring your own grill and picnic tables disappear very quickly during summer weekends.

It was great. Wide variety, excellent setups, scenery was great. I love how they have parks throughout to keep the kids intrigued and entertained although they love the animals too. $8 for a slice of pizza is ridiculous though... but whatever. We paid the $10 for a fried dough that was so so... but whatever. O refused to pay $8 for a slice of pizza though. But overall we loved it and will be back.

I am giving this Zoo a five star because the people who worked there was super nice the zoo itself was nice as well it is smaller than the Roger Williams but it definitely was not too bad my family and I enjoyed it we were there for about an hour and a half maybe two he only issue I had was multiple groups of people sworn where we were looking at the gorillas extremely rude and disrespectful and I had to push through them to get back to my six-year-old son whom they would not let out and pushed up against him another person in one of their huge groups also pushing their newborn baby stroller right up against my ankles and they will swarm you women on Mother's Day because I just wanted to spend time with my family and honestly see the gorillas other than that one awful incident the zoo itself was very nice. Also not a lot of fun using the GPS on the way home LOL I will post the cute video below sorry for the noise as it is a group so swarmed us.  Playground: I believe they were two maybe three separate little playgrounds which were cool the bigger playground they have was extremely packed full I don&#39;t think I&#39;ve ever seen so many children running around in one place but my children 5 6 and 11 loved it.  Restrooms: Had quite a few different restrooms throughout the zoo  Picnic area: Nice picnic areas

The staff are very nice and helpful. The animals are super cute. This is a nice place to take your family when you want something to do.

I have lived in Boston for 32 years and for the past 6 years i lived so closed to the park. This is the first time I walked the trails around Franklin Park.  So beautiful and unexpected.  I will definitely  do it many more times.

Took my family to see the Boston lights show at the zoo and one of my family members is handicap there was zero availability for handicap parking and the police were blocking a good like 5 spaces being parked in that area to direct traffic so that sucked but in retrospect it was labor day weekend on Sunday night in Boston so I should have known better and probably arrived earlier to secure parking... To anyone not handicap expect a walk on a busy day/evening here . Anyways I didn't purchase tickets In advance so we had to buy them at the door and even then we were only in line for less than 5 minutes in fact the people who prepaid waited in a massive line and waited probably 15 minutes to get in. So yeah maybe sometimes not pre ordering is helpful?? Anyways the light show was AMAZING I was blown away by the amount of lights and exhibits and the length of the walk thats is pretty much non stop beautiful intracit incredible talent for those who planned, set up and executed the show and also to those who maintain it as EVERY SINGLE LIGHT WORKED EVERY EXHIBIT WORKED and they had a ton of interactive sections for adults and kids of younger ages. I think they did an excellent job of making the show appealing to someone of any age any personality type ECT. It's an affordable option for a truly appealing to everyone "something for everyone" family outing. I mean my 14 year old didn't roll her eyes once and was truly impressed which is a miracle if you have ever had or known a 14 year old girl.... lol... My 8 year old was equally impressed. I can't wait to go back next year and see the new theme. I'm not sure what the official theme is called this year but there was lots of dragons and Egypt themed stuff of course a huge variety of animals themed stuff. Also I went at 745pm and like I said took me 5 minutes to get thru the line buy my tickets and be inside but when we were leaving at like 858pm when they sell last tickets at 9pm the line was out to the road in all sections prepaid/buying at door and it was getting "over crowded" so I think 745 is a perfect time to go right now Bec it's dark enough for you to be able to truly enjoy the lights but not crazy busy. But again I went Sunday of Labor Day weekend so maybe my experience is gonna be totally different than yours. Love Franklin Park zoo during the day and now I know to love it at night as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  Playground: Was open at night during light show when I went.
