Fraser Valley Regional Library

I use the library all the time although I mainly pick up items I’ve put on hold. They have great hours, open till 8 most weeknights and open weekends. I’m not sure how anyone can complain about their operating hours like a previous poster. The librarians are all nice and seek feedback and they have programs such as ukulele jam as well as kids programs. Being part of the FVRL system means they have a massive catalogue and it never takes long to get what I’ve put on hold.

the library itself is very nice and clean. however many parents think they can abandon parenting and let their kid run around and swipe the books off the shelf and have full on conversation with other above the heads of other people reading the books. many people have no manners or respect for anyone..made a video of a parent like that. she fingered me and swore on the front of the kids.

We live 5 minutes away from this library and yet we still go to the Coquitlam libraries. The selection of books for kids is lacking here. Specifically for ages 6-10. Where are all the comics, such as Dog man? Plants vs. Zombies? and what about special interest books such as Pokémon and Minecraft? And Picturepedias? Big book of Why? They could also use more board/picture books for toddlers/babies. I don’t come here too often but when I do, I find the shelves in both these areas are heavily picked over.

I want to express my thoughts about the library near my residence. While its location is convenient, I am consistently disheartened by its operating hours. As someone with office hours during the week, I often find myself unable to utilize the library due to its limited schedule. The lack of flexibility in their working hours is a significant drawback, especially for those of us who rely on the library's resources after work. What's even more disappointing is the situation on weekends when I finally have the time to visit the library. Unfortunately, it's usually closed, which is incredibly frustrating. It seems counterintuitive for a community library to be inaccessible when many people, like myself, are free to visit and make use of its offerings. I genuinely believe that a library should be a welcoming and accessible space for everyone, regardless of their work schedule. I hope that the library's management takes this feedback seriously and reconsiders its hours of operation. Expanding the library's availability, particularly on weekends, would make a substantial difference in its usefulness and impact within the community. Let's strive for a library that caters to the needs of its patrons and fosters a sense of community engagement.

One of the cleanest and family oriented community centers I have visited so far. They are offering good number of activities and programs for different age groups. I also have used their gym facility which is located in two floors. The first floor gym lacks in equipment variety but the second floor makes a good addition to it.

Great place to relax or to get the kids to read and learn. Staff is always helpful. I think this library could be bigger.

Great library, love the extended hours. New location conveniently inside a rec centre building and finally has lots of parking.

The kids' section is downstairs, so if your child isn't quiet, you don't need to feel uncomfortable. They have some tablet games the kids can borrow while in the library, a great selection of picture books for you kids. My family like the take-home crafts they sometimes put out.

I remember the old rec center and library, it was so outdated. They've finally made this into a facility that's worthy of Terry Fox.
