About

American Italian restaurant located in Park Circle (N. Charleston) and I’On (Mount Pleasant) featuring Italian comfort cuisine.

Description

Fratellos Italian Tavern is an American Italian restaurant located in Park Circle featuring Italian comfort cuisine with a menu driven by local seasonal ingredients and a homestyle feel. The word Fratello in Italian refers to fraternity or brother. It is this bond that our proprietor Richard Tuorto and Chef Kevin Bruntz had in mind when they shared favorite family recipes to create a unique dining experience.

"We are family a owned and operated Italian restaurant and have passed down our recipes from generation to generation. We serve up “Jersey Italian” comfort food from our family to yours. We’re the little Italian place on the corner you miss from back home. We hope to see you soon and look forward to serving you."

Love dining in or take out. Amazing food with authentic flavors, a must go to. Perfect for a date night, just make an appointment 1st.Food: 5/5
Had so much delicious food last night at Fratello’s Tavern! The calamari was so crisp and the red sauce with it so fresh. Mussels in garlic sauce was so good that we held onto the leftover sauce to dip bread into…spaghetti and meatballs, the pasta Al dente and the meatballs authentically huge. Caesar salad came w requested anchovies and croutons homemade…ok, everything just great. Really good bottle of Italian rose too! Great value for excellent food and service. Go there! Beats downtown Italian fare. Reminds me of family trattorias in Italy.
We had the pleasure of dining at Fratellos Italian restaurant and it was an absolutely amazing experience! We cannot recommend this restaurant enough - the food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. Let's start with the star of the show: the Chicken Parm. It was simply outstanding. The chicken was perfectly cooked and tender, the breading was crispy, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Every bite was a true delight, and we could tell that it was made with care and attention to detail. The Spaghetti and Meatballs were fantastic as well. The meatballs were juicy and flavorful, and the sauce was delicious and well-seasoned. Last but certainly not least, the Fettuccine Alfredo was wonderful. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was creamy, smooth, and decadent. The dish was perfectly balanced and not too heavy, which was a pleasant surprise. The service at Fratellos was exceptional - The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming vibe that made us feel right at home. Overall, we had an incredible experience at Fratellos Italian restaurant. If you're looking for delicious Italian cuisine, attentive service, and a cozy atmosphere, look no further than Fratellos!
I don't know how they do their shrimp but it's perfect. Got the shrimp pomodoro and was immediately tempted to get a second helping. Richard was very welcoming and efficient as my server. Don't know if it's my place to say though, the acoustics could use a little work. Several servers on the floor needed to speak fairly loudly just to communicate with their tables. Even mine, and I was just a party of one. Besides that, definitely bringing the family next time. Probably just one a slower night
Tried this place last night for the first time. It was pretty busy and it’s pretty cramped with as many tables as they have in there with people sitting down. We stated with the mussels as an appetizer which were great. That was probably my favorite part with the butter and garlic. For entree I went with the chicken parm just because it’s hard to mess that up. It was a big portion but the sauce wasn’t really that bold. It’s very mild and probably could’ve used some red pepper flakes and parm. I didn’t ask so that’s on me. Overall, the service was pretty good. We sat at the bar and had quick service food and drinks. It was solid for what it was. It was a hike from James Island to try it, but at least you leave with leftovers.
Come hungry! The food was excellent and the potions were large. We split the chicken parmigiana and enjoyed it. That left enough room for dessert. Our server recommended the cheesecake and it did not disappoint.Food: 5/5
Our waitress Emauni was great, she was helpful in picking a course and new what she was talking about. Calamari starter was a little chewy but tasted good. My main course was very good, but the dessert was Fabulous! Would recommend!
My husband and I have been going for years, and every time we go, the food has been amazing! I highly recommend John the waiter because he has always taken care of us and made our time at the restaurant memorable. We especially appreciated how accommodating they were for our large family and how they went out of their way to make our get together special. If you want Italian or are looking for a nice place to take family or that special someone, this is the place to go!
The food is wonderful, the service is always great! Wait time is never long either—plates come out quickly. Good atmosphere.
