Let's cut the the chase-- the service is friendly, knowledgeable and patient. The atmosphere is so incredibly chill. Self serve coffee and quirky mugs, outside seating with lots of plants. But the food?? Somehow even better! I didn't know what the hell a tomato pie was before this past weekend. Now I love tomato pies. The shitake bacon was delicious and such a thoughtful side dish to include on the menu. Mexican hash was hashing, baby. And the chicken and French toast?? With the rosemary syrup and pecan butter? It should be kinda obvious at this point why I came here Saturday AND Sunday. And I'm a local, honey. I'm always expecting the food to be good. These plates were DAMN good.
We had an amazing experience here for Saturday brunches with some friends, service was speedy, kind, and on top of our needs. The atmosphere was laid back and pretty great. During actual breakfast time it gets a little louder due to the hustle and bustle of being a popular place but overall one of the best stops we had in North Charleston. I had the French Toast with a side of Bacon and it was perfectly prepared. The syrup on top was a good flavor and consistency and the butter was delicious making it a phenomenal breakfast choice.
The portions where plentiful. Cocktails were tasty. Even though it was busy, we were seated fairly quick. Will be back!Food: 4/5
Sunday brunch with the wife was great. The wait wasn't bad. 20 min The staff were extremely kind, courteous, and efficient. The food was really good. I had the Pigs-in-a-Blanket with Hashbrowns. The wife had French Toast, Rosemary-Maple Syrup YUMMY and Chicken with a side of their special Coffee-Rubbed bacon. All of it tasted great. Their Iced Tea was really good too...nice and strong without being too sweet. Parking: Some right to the south side of the restaurant, more a few yards up the street Spruil Ave..
Overall: A top option for a weekend brunch! The good: Lots of options to choose from, but we went with two savory and sweet items - the buzzed doughnut and fried sweet tea chicken and french toast. Both were great in their own way; the bacon on the sandwich was heavenly as was the bourbon pecon brown sugar butter for the french toast. Too many flavors to mention, they were all good. Unlimited coffee refills and very friendly service all around, from waiters to bussers to hosts. Fun atmosphere and decent prices. The not-so-good: Long waits with no reservations. That's about it, everything else was great. Food/drink: 9/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Service: 9.5/10
This place has amazing breakfast/brunch! I always make a point to stop here on the way out of Charleston. All the food is just perfect and the staff is super friendly and great at what they do! Parking: Small parking lot that fills up quick, but you can find parking just down the street.
What a wonderful place to have brunch. I got the french toast and chicken and I got a donut with rosemary maple glaze. That was the best french toast I have had in a while! It was so soft and full of flavor, yet light and refreshing from the rosemary. Sadly, this isn't a 5 start review because the chicken was lacking. It had a weird texture and the flavor didn't match up to the rest of the food here. A friend of mine got the Mexican hash and he said that was the best hash he has had. Great place, a little pricier than normal, but worth it. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
My family and I recently visited The Junction Kitchen & Provisions while on vacation and I wish my experience went as well as the others that posted a review but it didn't. The wait was around 45 minutes long which was not bad because we expected this. Things took a turn for the worse once we were seated. The waitress took our order and it took another 45 minutes to an hour for our food to come. During the wait the manager stopped by to see how we were doing, he asked if we needed anything and we asked for a refill on our sweet teas; he proceeded to bring only one sweet tea and when asked for another one he said he would bring it by which he never did. Our food finally came, minus one chicken and french toast plate and a side of scrambled eggs. I noticed my family were halfway through eating and my food still hadn't arrived. I got up to let our waitress know that she could cancel my order and she then told me that she was sorry for the delay but they ran out of chicken and asked if I wanted to have just french toast, I declined and reminded her that we were still waiting on the scrambled eggs. When our bill came they did give us a 25% discount to make up for the inconvenience. My biggest issue is the lack of communication. We could see when we came in how busy the restaurant was; however, not once did our waitress mention any kitchen delays or even notify us when bringing our food that there was no more chicken. Customer service is key when you are in the restaurant business and our waitress lacked these and communication skills. Throughout this entire experience we remained respectful and decided that this would be our first and last visit to this establishment. On our way out, I was pleased to here a waiter tell his customers of the delay in the kitchen and it would be a longer than normal. Had we been informed of this in the beginning we would have been more understanding. Please do better!!!
The food was phenomenal. Chicken and French toast is an unlikely combination that I would've tried but the chicken is so juicy and tender. The French toast with the pecan butter was immaculate. The Huevos Rancheros was to drool over. Service was also a 10/10Food: 5/5
Fried chicken is really good. My wife ordered French toast and added chicken. It was ONE piece of bread for $13. The chicken was an additional charge above that. I ordered biscuits and gravy and literally could not eat the biscuits. They were totally black on the bottom and nearly black on the top. I can't understand how a kitchen could allow that to go out. All 4 halves of the biscuits were left on display and the server didn't even address it or try to make it right. Also, they REALLY seem to like Rosemary which is not something everyone enjoys. I can't understand the high reviews this place has considering our experience. We will not be back.
