Every time that I go into the store I have a good experience. The staff are always friendly. Even during the busiest times I'm at least greeted. On my most recent visit I was particularly impressed with Elizabeth and Heather. While they are processing my order we had a nice friendly and yet professional conversation. Interactions like this make it very easy to be a fan of the store and particularly this location. How I got acquainted with Fred Meyer was my first purchase with my wife's wedding Ring. They went far beyond the norm to help me find an affordable option and help me make my purchase at the right time in order to take advantage of certain sales.
My husband and I purchased my engagement ring here at the University location, while they hosted one of their diamond parties. One of the best decisions ever! My husband is an accountant and reads the fine print to everything! We purchased the warranty as anyone would with a jewelry piece. I keep my warranty up to date every 6 months and get my ring cleaned every chance I get. I love Claire, the manager, she is very willing to work with you within reason. I am speaking from personal experience here, I have not had any problems at this location nor with the company. They are a subsidiary from Kroger so you get points at any smith's and other kroger locations. As far as sales goes, I have done D2D sales and trust me that compared to this is nothing. The level of sleaziness with D2D and car sales is way worse than selling diamonds. Diamonds requires class and not pressuring customers, the customer already wants a diamond so why pressure them? I'm just saying...do your homework before making any BIG purchases in your life.
In love with my ring. Good deals. I bought a ring for my hubby here. We looked around at all of the other stores and this one by far was my favorite ring!
I've had my ring for almost a year. They were so helpful in customizing one of their anniversary bands for a wedding set. I haven't had any problems with my setting, and even after a year of fairly rough wearing, the band isn't bent at all. My ring is yellow gold, so I was expecting that, but I'm pleasantly surprised. Rachelle has been my go-to sales rep for questions about cleaning and wear. I'd recommend very highly. My dad even got my mom a ring from Fred Meyer after we got my ring.
Had a really good experience here. The woman that assisted me was very friendly and they had great sales going on! I told her that I was just shopping around and she was not pushy at all and still gave me her undivided attention. I ended up walking out with something just because she was so sweet and willing to take her time with me. Great quality and my wife loved the necklace!
Bought my wife's wedding ring from this company in vegas a few years ago. Loved the company. Got a lifetime warranty. Went in to this location to get the 6 month check and cleaning on the ring, they said a diamond was chippedhardest stone on the planet and that we didnt get it checked out within the six months so our lifetime warranty we paid for was now void. Then I had another employ ask if she could help, while she was on the phone talking about what meat she wanted for dinner that night and kept cutting off our conversation to make dinner plans. By far the worst customer service i have ever had. I inspected the ring at home and it is flawless. This location should shut down and terminate every employee.
Me and my fiancé bought my ring from there and I don’t think we will ever go back. A girl named heather helped us out the first time and she was very rude about it all. She said we can’t do much for our age and she was more worried about other things and not us. He then went back a few weeks later then walked out with the ring with no problem. Then I called the store and heather answered the phone. She never helped with what I was calling about! We would have a great experience but heather ruined it all!
We'd already gone to several places to find an engagement ring, they remembered that they had a ring sitting in their vault that fit my description perfectly. Worked with us very well and had a great selection of high quality, low-cost diamonds. Beautifully handled, they educated us like no other place had... Also, gotta love the 30 days full money refund policy!
My experience with Fred Meyer Jewelers started out pretty good. You walk in to see a nice selection in rings that are fairly reasonably priced. They have their lighting just perfect so all of the rings shine and twinkle in just the right way and their presentation is spot on. The employees act friendly, but you can readily see dollar bills in their eyes, similar to how a dog's mouth salivates at the sight and smell of meat. They treat you nice and buddy up to you, so you make your purchase. You even buy their care plan so you can have rings maintained at no cost to you. Seems like a nice experience... This however, is where the nice experience ends... When the time comes to get the rings resized, you discover that they don't even take enough care to ask how to spell your name correctly or even get it close to correct and take little care to treat their customer like a human being. You spend twenty minutes waiting for them to find your purchase so they can do their job getting you a ring that actually fits. When you go in to have your ring maintained, you have to give them papers that track your ring cleanings, if you lose the papers you're just screwed. If you're late for a cleaning or inspection they say they could deny you having diamonds replaced. If you speak with different employees about the same thing, they also give you different answers. I found it to be entirely ridiculous that they still use a paper based system to track anything and that there is no electronic record of when you have your ring cleaned or have diamonds replaced, especially since it's 2019 instead of 1995. This is certain evidence that you're dealing with what I would describe to be a less than sub-par institution that will try to weasel their way out of honoring their care plan, which isn't far from just stealing money from people. Don't waste your time and money by even gracing this institution and it's employees with your sight. They don't deserve your time, money, or even a passing glace. I would give them zero stars if it were possible, this company doesn't deserve a free star just for existing.
I always had a great experience at Fred Meyer when I bought both mine and my husbands rings here. I would drop it off every 6 months to get the white gold re-dipped and I would get it back in 4-5 days. But recently it has been taking soooo long and I don't understand. I recently dropped off my ring on June 3rd and they said it won't be back until the 19th! Why does it take almost a month now to get it re-dipped?! It seems like they've switched companies because the rhodium dip is not done in-house, but that is just waaaay too long! Also, I haven't been a fan of their newer employees. When I brought it in to get cleaned he didn't ask whether I wanted to get my ring dipped, he just assumed I wanted it steam cleaned. When I said I wanted it dipped he seemed like it was an inconvenience and I didn't see him use the machine to test the diamonds. Customer service hasn't been great lately.
