The basic premise of our school is to provide a quality, "real world", drivers education experience.
At our driving school located in Lenexa, Kansas we're a locally owned family business that provides 14 hours of comprehensive driver training both in the classroom and behind-the-wheel. The drivers education classes are taught in two important parts. First, students attend an 8 hour classroom session designed to engage and teach not only basic rules of the road but also introduce advanced driving techniques. The class is offered every other Saturday and is approved by the State of Kansas as a Drivers Education Program. Second, students participate in 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training which is typically completed in 3-2hr sessions designed to put defensive minded drivers on our roadways. We pickup and drop off for all driving sessions within Johnson and Wyandotte Counties.
We're growing and this year we've added our Chevrolet Camaro Experience and just this month we'll be adding another Mazda 3 to our group of vehicles. Plus, and most importantly, we are pleased to announce the hiring of Gale Swihart as a Driving Instructor. Gale brings 20+ years of law enforcement experience both with the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Lenexa Police Department. We will be using his experience and expertise to enhance our growing Program. Our Defensive Driving Based Course Curriculum is based on the Drive-Right & AAA Foundation Programs.
Upon successful completion of the Drivers Education Program a student will earn a Completion Certificate which combined with meeting all State Mandated Requirements for Drivers Education may receive their Restricted or Full License. Please notice you'll never need to clip a coupon or pay a fuel surcharge at Freedom Driving School.
