Freedom Health Plans

I have been with Freedom Health for almost 20 years, when they were first introduced to Florida. I renewed again this year simply because they have always been there for me. I am treated like a person not a number. If they continue this way, I'll renew again next year, and the year after that. The end. Paragraph. Full stop.

Freedom health insurance co. use to have a benefit that helped to ease the burden of the costs of groceries by giving you a grocery card that you could use any where you shopped at worth $65. They took that away and replaced it with a $100 nations benefit master card that is only good at walmart and only for about 60 different items. I don't use any of those products plus walmart is to far for me to walk to. The card isn't worth the plastic it was printed on. I'm very disappointed.

I switched to Freedom on my sister's recommendation. Today, I had to switch to another insurance. I have had nothing but trouble to have my prescriptions filled. My old insurance company filled them without any hassles but Freedom has given me a hard time since day one. I guess they think they know better than my doctors. I also had trouble with their coverage for eye doctor...you have no options on who to go to. There's only ONE eye clinic you can go to or they won't cover you - no other choice, and no one is happy with this eye clinic!

I'm glad I noticed a comment complaining about calls but Fh doesn't call members unless it's necessary , MEDICARE HAS RULES about this. Those are telemarketers trying to convince you they are your Insurance company or Brokers calling to tell you about medicare updates or to check out something "you make like " aka providing them a commission!!! Don't provide them any information. Get out your FH ID card and call member services directly this will verify who is trying to reach you. So many people have been tricked by these telemarketing calls and lost their FH Plan, be careful

Too much mail and always behind on updates. Not enough communication by phone unless initiated by me. Frequent in-network changes making some much-needed services unavailable. I hope 2023 brings better service.

Freedom Health refuses to stop sending junk mail to a dead man, deceased for 7 years and still soliciting business.

Terrible phone service. Been on hold waiting for someone to pick up for 20 minutes - all because someone mis quoted the cost for my health insurance.
