Fresh Pickings II

The hot food lunch specials are so delicious. Sandwiches and grinders are huge. The soups are amazing though only on Mondays and Fridays during the summer. And most importantly, prices are low! I highly recommend the food. I agree about the woman that works in the deli... I take it maybe she just has a dry sense of humor...maybe? But the woman at the register is so nice and friendly. Anyway, I don't know about the produce but it looks pretty decent when I walk by to the register.

I love the food. Everything is made fresh. The staff is friendly except for the young lady that works the deli. She never smiles and ALWAYS seems like she's having a rough day. Her attitude could be a lot sunnier. The older gentleman is very pleasant and welcomes everyone with a smile. The cashier is very friendly also and chats with everyone that walks through the door. Overall I'd say they are great. Just the minor exception of the stinky attitude at the deli.

Without hesitation, I highly recommend Fresh Pickings! This is a wonderful grocery store offering fresh food and delicious prepared meals at VERY reasonable prices. I have watched this store flourish over the years and it’s been wonderful to have a family-owned and operated grocery store in the neighborhood. Fresh Pickings is truly a hidden gem!

Forget about Subway. The grinders here are huge and meats sliced to order. The produce looks great too!

By far, they make the best falafel that I have been able to find in CT. Super fresh and made to order.

Food is delicious, produce is fresh, prices are very fair, staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.
