Friendly's

Great location to eat drink and hangout this location is still vintage and old school after all these years staff was very friendly helpful and accommodating would return again and again food piping hot as always and root beer as well as all fountain drinks always cold and flavorful never out of syrup. Takeout area and entire eatery was squeaky clean.

I always go here before leaving Long Island after visiting my friends and boyfriend. It now serves as a major memory location holding sentimental value to me. Mainly go late at night and get a fancy ice cream to share. Never crowded and the ice cream is always good.

It was very dirty. Barely anyone in the place and the waitress seemed too busy to attend to me and my 3 year old. She messed up 2 cone heads and that was the only order. The staff was not "friendly" at all. Very sad because I live 1 mile away and would rather drive 20 miles to get ice cream.

Excellent location and real good parking. Easy to see from road. I was shocked at the service. Fast and friendly go figure lol. Food was excellent and came out fairly quick and piping hot. Was good too. My son and I stopped here and we had a good time and the ice cream was good too at the end of the meal. I think the waitress made it herself besides both of our sundaes were made to perfection. I just hope it's still like that today.

My family of 3 sat at a table for 10 minutes before the waitress came over and asked her for menus. We also had to ask for utensils and drinks. Then when we ordered ice cream that was a process all by itself as we ordered separately. When I confronted the manager, he defended the waitress and said it was a very busy night. There was only 5 or 6 tables. We waited 10- 15 minutes for ice cream before I got my money back and went elsewhere.

2 of us were dining at Friendlys. I ordered the All American double cheeseburger and she ordered the cheeseburger. The waitress repeated back to her that you wanted the All American burger. She didn't realize this was not the $8.49 cheese burger but the All American Burger for $9.49 plus 0.99 for cheese. When the bill came we questioned why the charge was $2.00 more than we expected. She showed us the menu again. She said the All American was a slightly larger burger and roll plus more french fries. I asked why the calorie count was 20 calories less for the "larger" burger, roll and fries. She shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Another server asked if he could help, we questioned again and we're told that they didn't design the menu. After a few minutes the manager came over. We questioned the calorie difference. She pointed out that the regular burger calories didn't include the "cheese". So cheese adds 20 calories more than larger burger, roll and more fries. Sounds like misleading info to day the least. I paid the bill but not happy.

This is not our usual Friendly's. We usually go to the one in Commack. But we were picking up a couple of my daughter's friend and taking them out to eat...and this one was closest. I read the other review in here about the place and figured...it couldn't be that bad. Unfortunately, it wasn't far off as far as the cleanliness. We talked it and the tables were dirty, the floors had dropped food on it as we talked to our table and there wasn't anyone sitting at those tables. The host sat us down at our table and there was a drop of melted ice cream on the table. I asked the guy to clean it up. He grabbed a napkin from the dispenser and wiped it, but ended up just smearing it across the table. The service was not too bad, the waited took our order pretty quick and the food didn't take very long to come out. However, as the waiter was bring out the food, the sauces for the chicken were dripping all over the floor as he approached the table. The burger that I ordered tasted pretty good...no complaints from anyone else either about their meal. The food was good, but it's hard to overlook how dirty the place was...and there was hardly anyone there. You'd think they'd take the time to clean all the stuff they are dripping all over the floor and table.

Nice reward meal for a good child! Always enjoy the atmosphere and, of course, the ice cream! For server is very prompt and very friendly
