Friends Of Filmore Thomas Park

My kids ages range from 3-16. Together we all have fun. It is something for us all to enjoy individually. On Nov. 1 I was highly disappointed in our community. We as a whole complain about not having things for children to do but can't seem to bring it together to make work constantly. Take care of the things you want. Trash was all over the place and there are plenty of trash cans. Glass scattered everywhere under the pavilion. We have to do better.

Went to this park a couple weeks ago for my daughter's bday. There was a bday party going on and we still had room to run without interruption. Super cool jungle gyms. It sits low in a laid back location, but gets a pretty good buzz. Basketball court was full and all was an all around peaceful atmosphere.

It's a nice place to take the kids to run around and use up some energy. The splash pad was turned on today, but there's been several times where I've come here on 90⁰ days specifically to let my kids play in the splash area and it wasn't turned on. It's a good, free way for kids to come have fun.

Very Clean Park, Safe, Basketball Court, Restrooms....great for family gathering and out door parties. Covered sitting area.

I think I went when it was "ghetto day". Cars doing doughnuts in the parking lot, weed smokingI know the smell, a kid bit my daughter and his "aunt" claimed "she may have done something to warrant a bite". I didn't want to get stabbed or shot in front my kids, so we left. The one thing missing was gun fire. The only good thing was no bugs, the sun was shining and wind was blowing. Its safe to say I WILL NEVER GO BACK, for the safety of my kids.

The water features were not on when we went July of 2022. The playground is well shaded. Nice playground equipment!

Large play area for kids with beaches close by for parents to sit. A large covered seating area. And basketball courts on opposite side of play areas. Great to avoid trampling small children. Praying our neighborhood keeps this park nice.
