The Friends is a volunteer and fundraising group dedicated to making the library an important part of the cultural core of Boca Raton.

Description

We support programs for children and youth for the love of learning to read; for teens and tweens special events and book clubs; for adults for cultural and literacy enrichment; and special library programs and events for all ages.

Mission

Our mission is to support and enhance the value of the Boca Raton Public Library as it serves our community.

Products

We sell quality used books donated by our community at our bookstore in the lobby of the downtown Boca Raton Public Library. All sales proceeds fund library programing and events.

This is a small used book store right at the entrance of the library ... the ladies that were working here when we went were so kind and helpful! And they had such a great selection of books ! My daughter was so excited to grab as many as she could ! 1$ for children’s soft cover novels !!!!

Very nice. But know that it is not a part of the County Library System. And only residents of Boca can check out books.

If you’re a reader, this place is better than Disneyland. Their selection of classics is fantastic and the service from the employees is phenomenal. Truly an amazing place, I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Decent prices and selection. Books donated regularly so it’s worth a visit for either adding to your collection or if you just want cheap books for the beach. Paperbacks were $1, and soft & hard covers books ranged from $3-$5 for common stuff, some of the more choice titles had individual prices.

It’s crazy to believe that I never set a foot in here! Very quiet and big, spacious place to look around, they have each section for different themes such as children’s, teen and adults and all age welcomed. Super cool library!

Its a very nice library, but almost impossible to get a library card. Even if you live in boca, good luck.

Very family friendly, story time and activities that you sign up for ahead of time. Our 2 y/o loved the play area the best and later chose books to check out. Wholesome learning experience specially for pre pre schoolers to interact with others their age.

Beautiful new library! Children's section is awesome, my kids love to play and pick out books. And the self-checkout in the Children's section lets them do the whole process and feel like an adult. Fun to watch.

Great selections, never know what you may find and priced responsibility. Located inside the downtown boca library branch just before you enter the library.  I Have found some books you can no longer find in print as well as music, that is no longer being published. Worth a look, it's organized and clean and the staff is very nice and accommodating.
