The Friends of the Creston Library is a non-profit organization that supports our local branch of library
The Friends of the Creston Library are a small, but mighty, group of residents of Creston, CA that volunteer to support and promote one of the hubs of our community.
Monthly meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month, at 11:00 at the library. These are open to the public for all that wish to attend- there is no dues for membership.
We raise funds through the sale of used books and our ongoing silent auction, as well as generous donations. The funds raised purchase new materials, pay for Summer programs, and will fund our garden project. The garden project will provide a beautiful setting with benches and tables where patrons can relax and enjoy the use of the library, including free Wi-Fi access.
To promote and enhance the services and facilities provided by the Creston branch of the San Luis Obispo City-County Library.
To provide funds and volunteer services to ensure that the library continue to serve the needs of the community- to help the library expand to meet the demands of a growing population.
