FMS is a two-room schoolhouse located in the rural town of Worton, Maryland. Tucked away between farms, our school offers a peaceful, safe, nature-filled environment for the children to explore. A Montessori teacher and her college professor husband, who wanted their own young sons’ first school to be Montessori, founded FMS in 1992. It is an independent early childhood program enrolling children ages 2-6.
Friendship Montessori School strives to create a place that inspires children to develop their innate love of leaning while building confidence, independence, and inner discipline. FMS is dedicated to providing an enriching and challenging educational environment where each child is encouraged to grow to his or her fullest potential academically, emotionally, and socially.
