It just occurred to me that after years of going to Froedtert, I’ve never taken the time to write a review. My review is for the Neurology Department and the Infusion Department. 5/5 stars for both. I’ve received nothing but the best treatment. The doctors treat me with dignity and respect. I spend sufficient/quality time with my doctors. Scheduling was an issue a couple times when all of my appointments disappeared off the calendar but it was quickly resolved so I have no complaints…. When I have concerns or need something, the team of nurses answer within 24 hours and they do so with kindness. I have great appreciation for the nurses in the neurology department. They are amazing!!! The infusion dept is welcoming, kind and relaxing considering I have been there in severe pain. The nurses are so sweet and I cannot thank them enough for what they do. One thing I love about Froedtert is MyChart. It is user friendly, accurate and a great option for individuals who need virtual visits. This has been life changing for me.
The staff that they were wonderful the surgical team was wonderful the people who cared for me where great awesome they did their job everything, the only problem I had was I got home and a day or two later now I have checked and emptied out my bags for my medication and my jewelry and none of its there I called and they said that it was given back to me but they had no documentation of my jewelry and I had let them know that the surgical team had removed it when I was down there and I don't remember signing any paper now the jewelry it's not that expensive it was two bracelets but it's sentimental the medication that's an important thing I've always been told when you go to the hospital and you're going to be admitted have someone or yourself bring in your medicine so I did that because they have said in the past like at Rogers bring in your medications with you because people come in there just to get free medicine, it wasn't my case I was in for a blockage of my intestine and it's important that I get this medicine back I have notified my doctors I've called the hospital twice they told me to talk to the lost-and-found or the security office where it was all locked up they do not have it either so that is my complaint I did not receive all my belongings back. So that would be an important situation for you guys all to get a better hand done other than that your staff and the people that cared for me deserve a raise compliments gift cards whatever you do for them because they did a one-hundred-percent wonderful job with me so thank you so much.
The staff and people at Hospital are very helpful. Only problem I had there was when my mother was discharged. The ambulance is taking her to a rehab was supposed to be at there at 8 then show up 11. By the time I got my mom's to the rehab center, the last bus of the night was here and gone, so I call for a cab, three and a half hours later I was still sitting there, stranded. Cab never showed up. At 4:40 the bus system start up again and I end up taking a bus home and getting home at 5:30 in the morning, this is the hospital's fault they should release people at a more reasonable hour.
I debate if losing an eye would have been less stressful to me than being asked for my information 10 times and waiting 6hrs in what appeared to be a fully staffed but empty hospital. CT scan took like 5min so I refuse to believe they had 3hrs worth of people in line to use that machine. Now I'm stuck on hold after 4 transfers to set up a follow up appointment. If this how our medical system works I swear my life goal will be to leave this country from now on.
The ads for the cancer wing makes them sound like a caring hospital as one would want. When my mom got cancer this was the first hospital I KNEW we had to go to. I could not have been more wrong. We saw the doctor for 10 minutes. He only looked at her CT scans 2 minutes before seeing us. Dismissed us and said nothing can be done. Go home and get her affairs in order. I regret going to this hospital for a second opinion. How dismissive the staff was to our new situation. One and half hour drive there, countless of minutes on the phone, had to walk for 20 minutes to get to the location, only to be dismissed in 10 minutes.
Great doctors and staff but what administrative genius thought that central scheduling was a good idea? It takes no less than 25 minutes to schedule a single appointment and most of that time is waiting for the next available scheduling clerk. Let each clinic schedule their own appointments.
The Froedtert cancer center is excellent. My son has been a cancer patient now for two years. His doctor is rare find. He is kind, patient, helpful, understanding, and shows empathy. Actually his entire 4th floor staff is the absolute best. Now on the other hand the 3rd floor receptionists for the day hospital are rude, no compassion for people suffering. If they don't like their jobs find someplace else to work.
The Dr.'s and nurses I had were the Best in the world!!! They saved my life! I spent 2 months with them last Christmas. I came down with covid and wound up getting a triple lung infection no one expected me to live. the doctor's and nurses made sure that my family could be with me talk to me with face time or some online app. and a special thanks to Jenny and Becky for always being there and doing everything they could to make me feel safe and loved! God bless all of you! There is not a day that goes by that i dont think of you!
I don’t like to write bad reviews, but what happened today was inexcusable. I have chronic low back pain which flares up several times a year. This past weekend, a routine movement triggered severe pain. I had several doses of my muscle relaxant to see me through the weekend. This morning, I reached out to my primary care giver through MyChart and by phone to renew the prescription. I didn’t expect them to address it immediately, but after not hearing back from them by the afternoon, I called the clinic again, reiterating that I was in pain. I was assured that a nurse would relay the message to my physician and it would be taken care of. It never happened. At 6:30 p.m., I spoke to an after hours nurse who was rude and condescending. Her excuse was that hospitals and clinics are short staffed. Well, I’m a retired RN and this is nothing new and frankly, it was a slap in the face. Your staffing issues are not my problem. Both hospital administration and health care workers need to do better by their patients. Period!
The nurses and CNA's are awesome. The doctors, however are not. Been here for about a week and feel as though they are undertreating my issues. They also seem to talk AT you instead of TO you. Food service cannot seem to get a single order correct. Also took 5 days to get housekeeping in my room. I would go literally go anywhere else if I could.
