For the first time in well over 30 years Front Royal Beauty School will be on a new block. We are now located at 235 Chester St in Front Royal, the former home of Just Teasing and Tu Tu's Nails. Pleas make sure to stop by a see our new home. We offer a full cosmetology course and we are also a full service Salon. Our course is 1500 hours, as required by Virginia State Board. When you complete this course, you are prepared to take and pass your state board test! The past year has brought a lot of changes to our little school.It has a new look and we are bringing back the fun of learning a new career.The school was established in the 70's by Ms Pat Greer. At one point she ran 3 schools. Harrisonburg, Front Royal and Winchester! When I took cosmetology, the school was located in what is now Rebel Tattoo Studio. Donna Button was the instructor and it was so much fun. Those were very busy times! (Late 80's) Ms. Pat was in the school so much. And each time we learned a new twist on something we hadn't thought through before! Donna Button is also a wonderful instructor with an incredible sense of compassion and so much patience!
She built confidence in all of us that year!! We were always busy. Our reception area was packed on the weekends. People would sit and chat for an hour or more while waiting for their service. Bucky Greer, Ms.Pat's husband would make the rounds and talk to all of the ladies and then he'd take a basket of dry towels to the reception area and Get the Clients to fold Towels while they waited for their service!!! In doing this,the student stylists were able to work faster and get to the next client more quickly.There was usually a method to his madness!!! He and Ms.Pat were a great team with a wonderful sense of humor. But it seemed that Ms.Pat
was the one who worked constantly!!! She is now in Myrtle Beach close to her daughter Ginger!!!!
