We had a wonderful stay here! We’ve been to numerous campgrounds in Door County and this is by far the best in our opinion. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and respectful. The campground was very well maintained. We had plenty of room on our site for our camper, truck, motorcycle, and still had room left! They have a heated indoor pool that was kept extremely clean. They have lots of activities on site for people with kids. They also have a really nice adult activity center for a nice place to relax. They have pizza and ice cream available here too. We had a great experience and are already planning our next trip back, highly recommend!
It was my first time there. I went with my sister and a couple of her friends. It was so relaxing and the people were nice around the campground. The ice cream was super delicious too. The lemon cheesecake was my favorite!Location: 5/5
On our trip to Door County we took our travel trailer to both a state park and Frontier Wilderness campground. Everyone says that the state parks are less crowded, better layout etc. than private parks. We found it to be just the opposite! FWC has HUGE sites should have brought our cornhole boards and there is better separation between them than there was at the state park! There are lots of nice playgrounds for the kids, plenty of bathrooms, and very friendly staff. Highly recommend! Nearby activities: Very close to Egg Harbor Fun Park, great destination for families.
Just outside Egg Harbor - great location with numerous campsites in a wooded area. Buildings have outstanding shower and toilet facilities, nice office with limited selection of snacks, management is pleasant and accommodating, great recreation area with good assortment of games, laundry facilities are nice.Service: 5/5
It was really nice camping trip here. Very quiet, nice cabin, great customer service and great location. First time here we come back again in the futureRooms: 5/5
We are seasonal campers and wouldn't want to be anywhere but Frontier Wilderness. It's a beautiful and clean campground with so many amenities. Nearby activities: Indoor pool, mini golf, 10 minutes from the downtown festivities, Mini golf and go carts up the road and so much more Safety: Never worry about break-ins or walking the trails any time of night or day Walkability: Beautiful paved roads and trails
We have stayed at Frontier Wilderness the last 3 years, and always have a great experience. The people we meet there are always kind, and the owners are great. Very family oriented, and close to all the great small business/unique places you could imagine. It's very clean, and the offer free pump out service if you have a camper. Bathroom, and showers are always clean and convenient. Would give six stars if possible, if it wasn't for the bathroom pits farther down the campground, but as far as pits go... actually well maintained and clean. Great playgrounds for the kids with a huge blow up slide/bounce house the kids love. Would definitely recommend.
We loved our stay, reasonably priced, friendly staff. All the sites are gravel covered ground, so I'm glad we aren't tent campers. Our site was very spacious and had a nice amount of large trees for privacy. But looking at some of the other sites, many are pretty small and close to each other. Think we happen to luck out on that. Lots of amenities as well.
We originally had a reservation for 3 nights, but we ended up having car trouble. Our truck needed to go to the shop for longer then our reservation. Todd graciously moved our camper into another spot until our truck was fixed! We are so thankful for his kindness and hospitality. The campsites were clean and the kids had plenty to do. The pool is awesome too! Hopefully we can make it back someday.
Frontier Wilderness is a very nice campground. There were plenty of activities to keep my boys busy! We rented a cabin and failed to bring blankets, pillows, etc. and the owners went out of their way to find us some to use for the weekend. Great customer service!
