Mississippi Bend Campground is located off Hwy. 35, in Lynxville, Wisconsin. We offer 45 wooded acres along the bluffs of the Mississippi River, with several sites near the entrance having a river view. We have a one entrance, one exit, secure, beautiful, clean, friendly campground for family enjoyment. There is a nine acre wetland, great for fishing with the kids, viewing the waterfowl who call it home, hiking the wooded bluff, picnicing, or bird watching the hundreds of species within the area. You are within five miles of a great grocery/hardware store, Johnson's One Stop, in Seneca, Wi. There are several boat launches within the village limits of Lynxville, entering Pool 9 of the Upper Mississippi River Wildlife Refuge. Some of the Best Fishing on the River, you can catch your limit of Walleye, Bass, Catfish, Blue Gill, Perch, and more. There are several beaches within a short boat ride, and many miles of the most scenic palisades along the river. Bald Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, Hawks, Pelicans, many duck species, and so many beautiful songbirds, will be seen every day. Our campground is among the nicest you will find, with some of the nicest people you will ever meet. You are within 12 mi. of Prairie du Chien, 45 mi. from La Crosse, Wi., with dozens of small river communities within a half day trip, on both sides of the river, with many great shops and restaurants to explore. We also have several campers to rent, and a 2 bdrm., 2 bath. vacation cottage for rent, with everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The campground is closed and gated during the winter, and you are welcome to leave it, rather than moving it and storing it at home for the winter. You are welcome to garden, build decks, and make your site your own. Our campers take great pride in ownership, making us very proud when visitors compliment how nice it is.
