The City of Fruitland Park Fire Rescue Department was established in 1947. The fire department serves a 7± square-mile area and responds to an average of 800± calls to service annually. Currently the fire department is staffed with 25± paid-on-call/reserve firefighters. The City of Fruitland Park Fire Rescue Department provides; Fire Protection, Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, and Public Education/services in The City of Fruitland Park and neighboring areas. The Fruitland Park Fire Station houses: 2-Fire Engines, 1-Brush Fire Truck, 2- FD QRVs(Quick Response Vehicles), Lake EMS(Emergency Medical Services) Medic-271(ALS Ambulance), and Lake EMS District Chief-2(ALS/QRV EMS Supervisor). The City of Fruitland Park Fire Rescue Department shares multiple mutual aid agreements with surrounding agency’s such as Lake and Sumter County Fire Departments, The Villages Public Safety Department(The Villages Fire Department), The City of Leesburg Fire Department, and many more…
