The Fire Department is organized into three divisions:
Operations, Fire Prevention, and Administrative Services.
•Operations: Suppression, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Training, and vehicle and equipment maintenance.
•Fire Prevention: Code compliance, plan review, public fire safety education, fire investigation, and emergency management.
•Administrative Services: Budget, purchasing, facilities, maintenance, communications, records and reports.
Pinellas Park Fire Department currently employs 62 on-line firefighters and 16 administrative personnel in four stations.
Firefighters work 24 hours on duty and 48 hours off on either A, B or C Shift.
A District Chief is assigned to each shift and is responsible for coordinating the crews and maintaining apparatus and equipment.
