I would give Dr. Ley a zero star if I could. Working with her was a nightmare. I hope my review saves other desperate people like me from wasting time and money as I did. I was connected with Dr. Ley through a sleep consultant Myra of Hearts & Dreams in Montana. My 15-month-old son was still nowhere near sleeping through the night, and I was desperate for some hope and relief. The baseline program that Myra offered was a 6-week program for $3,300, which I thought was insanely expensive, but she assured me that our son would sleep through the night and I had some money in an FSA dependent care fund that I needed to use by the end of the year anyway, so I agreed to the program. Before I knew it, she had me sign a contract with Dr. Ley for food intolerance testing. As $2,800 went to Dr. Ley the program's cost was not reimbursable by my FSA as they viewed it as a health care cost, not a dependent care cost. Despite this, my husband and I were willing to pay the high rates in hopes that our son would sleep better. Four weeks into the program, we only had two exceptionally unhelpful zoom calls with Myra where she pushed the standard cry-it-out methods everyone is familiar with and one in-take call with Dr. Ley which she was 20 minutes late. At that time, we had our standard 15-month check-up with our son's pediatrician, where we explained that Dr. Ley wanted to test our son for food intolerances using the Carroll Food Intolerance Method. Our pediatrician was adamant that we not take the food intolerance test as these tests are unreliable and often encourage people to cut nutritious foods from their diet. Our son also showed no signs or symptoms suggestive of a food intolerance/allergy. When we explained to Dr. Ley that we were no longer in need of her services i.e., a food intolerance test per our pediatrician's recommendations, we asked for a partial/ pro-rated refund. Unfortunately, Dr. Ley refused to refund any amount and sent several rude and pushy emails defending her business model and proprietary food intolerance test. For those in need of food intolerance testing, there are several options available online for $150, a big difference from the $2,800 that Dr. Ley charges. Moreover, it turns out that Dr. Ley is not registered to practice or treat patients in the state of Montana, which is ILLEGAL! So... in the end, we paid $3,300 for nothing. More than the wasted money, it has only added stress to our lives, and our son is not sleeping any better.
This institution is an absolute scam - VERY inauthentic. Treatments are just for manipulating vulnerable patient populations. Please try Ayurvedic Medicine instead. Please, do not waste your time or money. Do not her do "internship" for any young students. Stay away!
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Dr. Ley and her office staff were completely awful. Their communication is the worst I have ever experienced working with any type of doctor or healthcare provider. I went to her because she is a Naturopathic Doctor and Catholic and I am so disappointed in the service provided. I cannot fathom how someone proclaiming to be Christian can treat patients so horribly. She agreed to complete necessary paperwork for my healthshare and when the time came to fill out a ONE page form, she has yet to do it, 3 months later. Her office staff told me they would complete it and they haven't. I have now tried contacting them for months, via email, office phone, text message the same text they used to contact me and Facebook and they have completely ghosted me.
We saw Dr. Dawn Ley twice were unhappy with the service we received. I set up the first appointment and indicated both the issues & treatments I wanted to discuss. At the first & then the second, she still needed to research some of them and would need to discuss them at the next appointment we didn't go back. At the first appointment, and in follow-up by phone I asked for information on any medications/supplements prior to my picking them up and paying for them. I didn't get any information until pick-up once it was too late to decline. The directions were lacking very important information & when I called to get clarification, I was told that could only be answered by a phone consultation charged at $168 an hour. For example, the instructions said to apply ointment, but didn't say where to apply it to or whether to use the medicine daily or only when symptoms were present. There was nothing on potential side effects and very little or no info on what it was supposed to do. I had concerns about the long-term use of the supplements that were prescribed & when I raised them, Dr. Ley then indicated that she didn't prescribe them long-term, but that she would need to see us at least every month to get new & different supplements. I was encouraged to do the food tolerance testing & expected things to be more targeted than you have an intolerance to any and all traces of fruit to include things like Earl Grey Tea which has Bergamot which is a type of orange. Dr. Ley then read "acceptable" foods and recipes to us making for a very long appointment.
Dr. Ley and the team at Full Circle Natural Medicine helped me with the emotionally sensitive topic of food intolerances. I had put in a lot of weight in the last two years. Full Circle Natural Medicine helped me craft a food plan, free of intolerances, and return to the weight and energy levels I had in my mid-20s I’m 35. Truly a life-changing experience that I’ll be forever grateful.
I have been seeing Dr. Ley for about 1.5 yrs now. She was able to diagnose a food intolerance, which had been the cause of various painful and embarrassing symptoms my entire life. The symptoms seemed unrelated to each other and many did not seem tied to a GI issue, so as I shared them with my regular doctors over the years, they had only been able to mitigate the symptoms, never to actually determine or solve the problem. Dr. Ley collected the most extensive medical and family history I've ever seen. She has helped me navigate a major change in my nutrition habits and has improved my quality of life significantly. I can bring any question or concern to her, and I know I will receive a caring, clear, and adequately detailed response, with additional resources provided so that I can follow up with my own research. I would highly recommend Dr. Ley to anyone.
I so regret having invested my hope and my money over $800, first/only visit in Dr. Ley. She gave me advice that was contraindicated by the medically-prescribed and helpful diet low FODMAPs I'm on; prescribed vitamins at a level that, I have reason to believe, was greatly excessive 20,000% of MDR in one case! as well as another supplement that was unusable with the FODMAPs diet. Despite my apparent, extreme exhaustion, she continued to bring out more and more supplements for me to buy - 8 all told, for over $220 - without checking to see if I was still able to fully participate; I felt overwhelmed, and in a hard-sell situation I was not able to respond to as I would have if I were not so sick. I wrote Dr. Ley a letter explaining all my concerns; she called me, and spent the call justifying her decisions as being clinically experienced, with little to no empathy nor acknowledgment - said at one point that the problem was my "belief" in these concerns rather than the concerns being justified. I have never seen a naturopath before and I will never consider one again, after this experience.
