A wonderful guitar school, and a special shoutout to Chris, who was able to tailor our lessons to exactly what I was looking for despite differences in preferred musical styles and I know this holds for other students as well. I learned and am learning so much from him over our lessons, and couldn't recommend him more highly even if I tried!
I took lessons with Chris at G4 for almost 4 years. He's a great teacher! As an adult learner starting basically from square one, I appreciated the attention to technique and that we focused on the essentials of guitar and music theory before jumping into songs. It was fun at the same time – Chris is friendly and enthusiastic and I enjoyed learning with the other students in the small classes. I have a really solid foundation to keep going with guitar playing now and would recommend G4 to anyone interested in learning.
Learning guitar as an adult wasn't easy, but G4 gave me the tools and structure I needed to take it step by step. I spent several years taking lessons from Shane and Chris. Both are fantastic! Majority of the time I worked with Chris. His passion for music and teaching comes through at each lesson. He break things down, and teachs you more than just how to play a song. You ultimately learn the language and patterns of music, which empowers you to take what you learn in whatever direction you want to go.
I started taking lessons with Shane through the 5 Week Introductory Special. Shane has done an excellent job at determining my level of play and adjusting the course to fit my needs. The course is structured in a way that you develop a solid foundation of knowledge and skill during the lesson and then fine tune at home through practice. After only two lessons, I am already beginning to feel a lot more comfortable and confident with the instrument. The quick progress is very motivating which is important when taking up a new hobby. I would recommend Shane and the G4 guitar school to anyone interested in learning guitar for the first time or improving previous skills.
Shane and G4 Guitar School are simply outstanding. Shane has been teaching my 9-year-old son since early last year, and my son thinks Shane is great. My son a few months ago went from not practicing at all to playing on his own, and teaching himself extra songs, often. His progress recently culminated in playing in front of a crowd at the coffee place across from G4, and he did great. I have Shane to thank for that. If you are looking for guitar instruction for your child, or even yourself, look no further than G4 Guitar School!
Excellent instructor! Shane genuinely cares for his students' experience learning the guitar and is extremely flexible with his hours to accommodate his students' schedules. The group lessons are extremely fun as we get to play popular songs and can even request ones we want to learn.
Chris R. is an excellent guitar instructor. He has a true passion for what he's teaching, and always fields questions no matter how repetitive!. I've definitely learned a ton about guitar theory in the short five months I've been taking lessons - can't wait to learn more!
Highly recommend! I started taking lessons around two months ago and the G4 guitar method definitely keeps you motivated and is very effective. The way the course is structured makes it easy to fit into a busy schedule as well. Shane is awesome & is very patient and encouraging!
