We’ve been coming to this library for some time now. Doing some story times, art projects, and some mom meet ups. This library has been welcoming! I never once have felt like my child wasn’t welcome. Even when my oldest is experiencing some sensory challenges all the staff is so kind. Grateful for this safe space for my children to be themselves, and explore the world of learning.
Overall a decent library. A bit on the smaller side. Their landscapers are Dwarves with IQs less than 50. Common courtesy goes a long ways.. or at least it used to. I'd recommend telling your guys to stop using blowers. They really aren't needed when rakes do a better job and prevent angering people. EDIT: No need for an email, this review shall suffice. Just let your guys know to be mindful of their surroundings when using power-tools. There are children around and using a blower mindlessly is a hazard. Thanks.
Hands-down one of the best libraries in the area. It’s right next to a scenic walking trail so it’s easy to bike to. In addition the Wi-Fi is super fast and it doesn’t seem to be that crowded.
I'm so grateful for this library. I've been able to use the computer and printing stations with ease the last few months to help me with my job search. There are many spots to cozy up with a good book here, lots of great books to choose from, community programs for different groups, and the library is near the Greenbelt. This is one of my favorite places in Garden City and it is a staple in our community.
Voted the best library for a reason! This place has so many resources for all age groups. I love taking my kids to the various programs and activities for their age group. I love that it isn't a "quiet library", and all the non book resources available for checkout make going there so fun!
This has been my general go to library in the past. It is comprehensive with all the different sections. My daughter and I have played with the tablets in the children's section. There are many computers but sometimes they are all taken up. I think nearby churches come in to do genealogy research as a group. That was quite a while ago. I have used the computers to do job searches and get directions when I didn't have resources like a smart phone. It has been really useful for survival at times.
Great place to take your kids. Mrs. Mackenzie does an awesome job in the STEAM class and the kids love her; she provides a great service to this community!
They don't have the same policy as the other libraries and the check out for some movies is a week and others are two weeks too confusing I thought I returned my movies two days late and got a 40$ late fee and a threatening email to be reported to collections. I will never check out from this library. I have text reminders set up for due dates! This experience made me want to cut up our library cards. I will never check out materials when the policies aren't consistent with the other branches
Love them. Everyone is always kind & helpful. They offer tons of activities and classes for kids and adults. They are just amazing and I can see why they won best library of the year. So glad they are so close to us
I've come to this library for a while now, and the staff are amazing! They've got all kinds of cool stuff to use too. VR, 3D printer, public computers, etc. I've used the 3D printer a few times now, and the staff is very helpful with making sure it works out right! One project didn't go right so they printed it again immediately. Amazing library!
