We need your help to continue to grow more Gardens so no child leaves this earth without someone who cared for them. Won't you please help us build a Garden of Innocence in every state? We are a 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit. We are completely run and cared for by the community volunteers where we build a Garden. These children now belong to each and every one of you. You are their family!
What we do:
Garden of Innocence provides dignified burials for abandoned and unidentified children.
Previous to having a Garden of Innocence in a County, abandoned and unidentified children were put in the indigent program and given mass burials or scattered at sea with 200-400 cremains.
Garden of Innocence gives these abandoned and unidentified children the dignity they deserve. We bring these children into our family, provide them a name, a poem and a dignified ceremony of love and compassion as we lay these babies to rest in their “Garden of Innocence.”
What we do is speak to the coroner to ask if they will allow us to start a Garden in their county. Upon approval, we teach the community how to run their garden and care for these children. All the volunteers for these Gardens come from that local community. These gardens provide a place for love and healing.

The criterion for a child coming to the Garden is as follows:
• Children that have been found unidentified in the trash, sewer, rivers, etc.
• Children that have been born in area hospitals past 20 weeks’ gestation up to 8 years old, that have passed away for whatever reason and their parents have walked away and not claimed their child's body.
• Children up to 8 years old that have been taken to a mortuary by their parents and been cremated but the parents never returned to claim the cremains.
• We do not take aborted children or indigent children.
Our urns are made by the Boy Scouts as their Eagle Scout project as well as from woodworkers across America. Our blankets our made from volunteers across the county.
Our sole purpose is to provide dignified burials for abandoned & unidentified children. Through this process, we build community healing, hope and peace.
