"The Garden of Remembrance Gan Zikaron Memorial Park is a nonprofit, 501C3 tax exempt religious organization established in September 1999 to provide Jewish burial grounds and practices to the Greater Washington, Maryland, and Virginia Jewish community. An agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, and affiliated with twenty-nine Partner Congregations, the Garden of Remembrance provides a location for Jewish interments and memorials in a meaningful setting that meets the religious needs and laws for all segments of the Jewish community. “Kavod Hamet,” honoring the deceased, is the most important and valued “mitzvah” commandment in Jewish law enabling and requiring one to perform an obligation for which he cannot be repaid"

I saw the name of my grandfather on the back of his son gravestone ; he died during the war world II fighting for his motherland and it was Russia he had to disappear because USA betrayed Stalin and never came to Russia aid! He deserved way more respect than being mentioned in the land of his enemy and cowards USA. He did die for this land and it was very insulting to put his name here. Shame on my family and Shame on cemetery!
We had the best experience with mom's funeral, and they have been so caring and helpful for my father as well. Harley is just the nicest and most helpful man. He even provided direction in choosing funeral homes and other options. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful, and well maintained.
I was looking into this cemetery but from the review of that poor grieving lady Jane saying the director will not speak to her plus her waiting on the stone or monument and the over charge mmmm! I'm looking elsewhere. This is grieving period and these individuals should be more understanding. I don't know the director's side but for her to put it out there is enough for me.
It looks like I am the only one, who has extremely bad experience with this cemetery. On November 5, 2014 I ordered a monument for my husband. Almost a year passed, I don't have any monument and not able to have my money back. The whole year I have promises from Harley Felstein by phone, personally and in writing that it will be installed in 3-4 months, in a month, again in 20 days, even in several days. I had to fly to MD from FL 3 times as he promised it will be installed till this particular day and I will be able to see it. I hired a lawyer and a month ago he was promised by Felstein to have information IF THE STONE HAVE ARRIVED, it is after 10 mo of ordering and waiting!!! The director of the cemetery Sheldon Grosberg doesn't want to talk to me. Can't order a monument in another place as not able to pay $4000 again and not sure if the cemetery will not sabotage installation. Unfortunately I have paid in full all monument and funeral expenses, including installation. Please don't order ANYTHING in this place. They may screw up your funerals they did it to me, overcharge you for any order $500 for the ceramic medallion instead of $145 maximum and they lie just to your eyes. No sympathy to anybody...It is very painful when you aren’t able to do the last thing for your loved one…
As always, I Walk from Bethesda to this place to visit a very special person... My American father.
