Garland was a great location for our big guys golf trip 16 people. 4 very well maintained courses that were all very different in style. Food and services were great. Makes sure to have an hour between 18 holes to grab lunch and more drinks as weekends get busier. Starters and Marshalls are very polite if you're doing your part to play golf respectfully and keep pace of play. Cell service is very poor. Overall great experience. Rooms: Cottages were very nice. Wifi was ok, and cell service was near non-existant.
First time at Garland and I was impressed u til we went for dinner. Menu was limited but I get that. Our server told us we can order but the order wouldn't go to the kitchen for at least 30 mins because they were way behind. Two of us ordered the same item and when our meal came I was surprised to see two different plates when we ordered the same thing. No consistency, horrible plating and the food was sub par at best. The courses however were stunning and well maintained. Next time I'm bringing my own food and staying away from the restaurant.
Rooms are very outdated, need a lot of attention in the bathrooms. Shower head leaked all over. No small table in the room to sit at. The service all over the property was excellent, always polite and asking how your doing. Except for the grumpy pro shop guy. Location is nice and secluded. Not such a good location if you still have to get work done while out playing. WIFi was very spoty, in and out. 0 cell phone recepetion anyhwere. The courses were in prestine condition, greens were crazy hard. All in all I would recomend it for a group outing, just be prepared for an old outdated stay with amazing golf and great service from hoapitality. Except the grumpy old guy at pro shop And bring a collar shirt. For some reason they require it, even though I had a $70 Kuhl collarless shirt on. I havent had to wear a collar shirt on a course since i was in high school golf. Amd I looked all over there website, no where does it talk about a dress code. If you have a nice shirt, you shouldnt be required to wear a collar shirt Rooms: very outdated
Called the Pro shop a week prior and made a tee time on the holiday weekend on Sunday, July 2nd. I was going by myself, so I asked to be the first one out on the course because I like to go at my own pace, and wanted to have the rest of the day to spend with the family. Was told I couldn’t go on the 2 courses that I wanted to play because they were already booked up. Paid full price for my round of golf, which obviously is expected for a holiday weekend. Played Reflections and the round went fine. Get back to the clubhouse and sat out at the tiki bar. Wanted to get a drink and a small something to eat like a breakfast sandwich. Was told they don’t start serving food until 11. Then after that, I went back into the pro shop to look at the merchandise. When I went up to pay for the shirt I chose, there was a group in front of me paying for their round. The man helping them out told them that they were in luck, that their round of golf would be half off. The woman paying for her round was surprised by this, so it’s not like this was previously decided or it was a member discount or anything like that. I go to Garland when I am up north with my family because it is conveniently close and great courses, but I can tell you I will be finding other options from now on. There are plenty of courses in the area that are a hell of a lot cheaper and still have that great up north golf feel.
No Cell Service which isnt a deal breaker. Making the turn and trying to get food and drinks was insane. 20 people deep inline at the bar and the tiki bar. Then getting told by the ranger when you get to the tenth tee that you need to hurry up. Traps were hard as a rock. Unplayable. I had never played there and was really looking forward to it. I will never go there again. Food & drinks: The food was OK drinks are Overpriced.
“Fish Camp” was a success! Our teenage boys had a great time catching rainbow trout and enjoyed the cast iron skillet lunch of fresh trout while out fishing. We enjoyed dinner and also Antlers bar. Desserts were phenomenal. “Roach” was a great resource for info and took good care of all of us while we visited the resort. Will definitely be back!
Courses were is great condition We played the Fountain and the greens were crazy hard but fun.Rooms: 3/5
Absolutely a beautiful place to stay golfer or not . All of the staff are very friendly . The 4 courses are the nicest I’ve seen Noteworthy details: Everything is very well maintained and the views are beautiful

We had our wedding at Garland this fall. I cannot even say enough about the staff! Everyone was amazing. Sarah our wedding director was absolutely the most helpful every step of the way. Our guests loved the rooms, the service, the grounds and the food. I will have future events here and cannot wait to visit again. What beautiful memories we will cherish forever at this wonderful resort. Thank you Garland.
